Nick Cannon reflects on how his ego… Stranger Things Season 5… Jelly Roll gets 500-acre plot of land… Armie Hammer launches his own podcast… and Gisele Bündchen is pregnant with baby no. 3
While guesting on the Ray Daniels Presents podcast, Nick Cannon opened up about the insecurities he had during his relationship with Mariah Carey. They first met at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards, where Nick presented Mariah the award for Choice R&B Artist. They apparently had a brief encounter backstage before they went on stage, which Nick never forgot. They ran into each other again at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards, dated about a month and then had a surprise wedding about month later in the Bahamas. Remember how they used to renew their wedding vows every anniversary? Until Year 6….they skipped he vow renewal that year and a few month later, they announced their divorce. On the podcast, Nick explained, “I got married in my 20s to the biggest star in the world. I would lay up at night thinking, ‘Is this who I am? Am I Mariah’s man? Is that what my life’s supposed to be?'” He continued, “There’s nothing wrong with it. And I got really comfortable in it. She got islands, I’m waking up at noon and I’m being served steaks on a platter.” But his insecurities only got worse after the birth of their twins, Moroccan and Monroe. Nick said, “When you have children and the hierarchy of man sh** is like ‘Wait, I’m carrying the purse, the diaper bag and I’m standing on the corner waiting.’ She’s rocking being all the alpha that she is.” But he admitted, “She deserved it. And the love kept me there because I was like, ‘You need somebody. You need a support system. You need somebody that don’t want you for your money. You need somebody that’s sincere. You need somebody that’s ready to build a family, raise some amazing kids together. And that was my goal.” Nick said he was internalizing all this, trying to be the best husband he could be. And it wasn’t like they were arguing all the time, which led them to divorce. Nick basically said Mariah “lives in her own world. That’s the thing. When someone has their own world, their own scope, their own bubble, and you’ve got to be a participant in that?…I’m the main character here.” So after 6 years of marriage, Nick just wanted to be the main character in his own story and become “the dude God put him on the earth to be,” so he said goodbye to being Mr. Mariah Carey.

Everyone likes a good ghost story, especially during Halloween week. These stories are really fun when they happen while filming a horror movie. This one may or may not provide the jump scare we’re looking for, but Finn Wolfhard shares something he experienced while shooting the 2017 movie IT inside an abandoned mansion in Toronto. Finn said he and some of the other cast decided to do some exploring and when they went into a room on the top floor, they saw a man in black doing what looked like electrical work. They didn’t think anything about it at the time, but later, they found out that nobody knew who the guy was and no one ever saw him again. Finn admits it could have been someone just messing around, but said, “Yeah, it was pretty scary.” Was it? Meantime, the fifth and final season of the seriously scary Stranger Things is now filming in Georgia. David Harbour promises the series finale will have us all in tears.
David Harbour told People that season 5, episode 8 — aka the final episode of Stranger Things ever — is “the best episode they’ve ever done.” https://t.co/eXf66fhIvS

Jelly Roll just did something really incredible for himself and his family. He bought a 500-acre plot of land, and he got real emotional talking about it on Instagram. Jelly Roll first talked about growing up and having a safe space when he went to his uncle’s farm, which is where he learned all his “traditional Southern values.” One day, little Jason Bradley DeFord – aka Jelly Roll – asked his dad, “How come we never got a farm?” And his dad said, “Son, that’s probably one of the mistakes I regret the most, is that I didn’t buy dirt . They’re never gonna make no more of it. And if you don’t listen to no advice from me, buy dirt. Go get you some land.” Jelly Roll never had the cash to do that until people embraced his music, and he thanks his fans for giving him this incredible gift. He said, “Thank you all for just changing my life, man. Generational curses were broke because of y’all. I’m standing on it. And I hope that inspires one of y’all to do the same thing.”

Four years after his career was derailed over sexual abuse allegations, Armie Hammer is getting back out there with The Armie HammerTime Podcast. Armie said it will be long-form conversations with a rotation of guests and that some of us are going to love it, and some of us are going to (BLANKING) hate it. But in the first episode, Armie allows his guest Tom Arnold to ask him anything, so he did. First up, Tom asked Armie what it was like when it all hit the fan. He asked, “When your agency dropped you, was that a phone call? What was that like?” Armie said, “It was gradual. First it was like little pieces of sh**, and then it was the whole thing. The little pieces of sh** were, “There’s someone online saying things about you being abusive. It’s starting to pick up traction. Do you know who this person is?’” He said it was when the rape allegation dropped, things got really bad. Crisis PR firms were called in…his lawyer told him to just keep his mouth shut. Armie did as he was told because he didn’t want to risk doing anything to make it worse. At first Armie was resentful of people closest to him who would call him up and say, “I’ve known you since you were 19 years old. You’re not this guy. We know this isn’t you.’” But Armie was thinking, “Thanks for the phone call, but don’t call me with that. Say something about this because no one is stopping this and it’s just a train that’s running away.’” But it was a conversation with a weed farmer that changed Armie’s perspective. The farmer posed this question to him: “You set your house on fire and your house is burning to the ground, and now you want your friends to run into a burning house with you?’” In another part of their conversation, Arnold said “the cannibalism stuff” is his favorite part of the scandal, and Armie replied, “I’m not gonna lie, I kinda like the cannibal stuff now.”

I don’t know why this was so surprising, but it is! Gisele Bündchen is pregnant! She shares 14-year-old Benjamin and 11-year-old Vivian with her ex-husband Tom Brady. Now she’s expecting her third child with her Jiu-Jitsu instructor turned boyfriend Joaquim Valente. By the way, Giselle is 44 and I’m already exhausted for her. Joaquim is 35 and this is his first child. Gisele reportedly gave Tom the heads up before news broke about the pregnancy. We’re not really sure how he’s taking it, but on his Instagram Story, Tom posted a photo of the sun setting over a mountain while The Chicks sing Landslide in the background. He captioned it with 3 hearts and “Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?”
