For the third straight week, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” was still number one at the box office, taking in another $52.7M over the New Year’s weekend. So far, the movie has earned almost $610M here in the US, and $1.37B worldwide. That makes “No Way Home” the 1oth-highest grossing movie of all time domestically, but it’s within $10M of passing 2017’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” to take ninth. And if it earns another $13M, it’ll bump 2012’s “The Avengers” down and take eighth. It’s got a LOOOOONG way to go before it can topple the highest grossing movie in US history — “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” with $936.7B. We’ve got a lot of big movies coming out in 2022, so there could be a lot more movement in the top ten. We’re talking “Avatar 2,” “The Batman,” “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” “Jurassic World: Dominion,” and “Top Gun: Maverick,” just to name a few. Back to this weekend’s box office, “Sing 2” was second with $19.6M, followed by “The King’s Man” wth $4.5M, “American Underdog” with $4.1M, and “The Matrix Revolutions” with $3.8M.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent out a fun Christmas card this year. Little Archie is now 2 with a great big mop of red curls. And we finally got a pretty good look at baby Lilibet, who is now six months old. It looks like the photo was taken inside their home in Montecito, but next year’s photo may be taken from their next home. Sources told the “Daily Mail” that Harry and Meghan aren’t loving their first house in the US. Sure, it’s surrounded by the most beautiful gardens and overlooks the ocean. Yes, it comes with 9 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms with a huge play area for the kids as well as a pub and game room for the adults. It also has a wine cellar, gym, spa, movie theater, tennis court, swimming pool and a separate guest house. But after living in it and feeling it out for 18 months, Harry and Meghan aren’t loving it. They want to stay in the neighborhood, just not THERE.

In a new interview, Ed Sheeran said an old episode of “South Park” “ruined” his life. Ed said it was a 2005 episode called “Ginger Kids.” In the episode, Cartman delivered a presentation at school on “gingervitus,” a disease that curses “ginger kids” with “very light skin, red hair and freckles,” and “occurs because ginger kids have no souls.” Ed said that people in England had always made fun of red heads, calling them “gingers,” but it was never a thing in America. In fact, Ed said, “I was going to America and everyone was like, ’I love your hair dude’…” But then, that episode of “South Park” hit the air and changed everything. Even though he blames the show for “ruining” his life, Ed said he’s still a big fan and would love to voice a character on the show someday.

After 15 years and 20 seasons of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” on E!, the Kardashians and the Jenners are moving over to Hulu in 2022. On New Year’s Eve, they dropped the teaser, letting us know that their new series will be called…..wait for it…….”The Kardashians.” No word on the premiere date, but Khloe told Ellen that she thought it would debut sometime in late January or early February.

On New Year’s Eve, we heard the news that Betty White had passed away at the age of 99. Her agent confirmed that she had died in her sleep of natural causes. He said, “Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever. I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.” Her agent also said Betty was very well aware of how much we all loved her. Betty would’ve turned 100 on January 17. On that day, a film tribute called “Betty White: 100 years Young” will be released at select theaters across the country. The movie will include highlights from Betty’s TV series including “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “The Golden Girls,” and “Hot in Cleveland.” Some of Betty’s famous friends will also sing her praises, including Ryan Reynolds, Morgan Freeman, Tina Fey and many more.
