Rick Springfield’s buttocks assault… Is Rosie Perez leaving The View?… Bill Cosby facing criminal charges… Gwyneth Paltrow talks about Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck… and The Oscar nominations
Have you ever heard of this?? A woman has accused 80s pop idol Rick Springfield of assaulting her with his butt!! And believe it or not, he’s actually on trial for this right now! This 45-year-old woman named Vicki Calgano claims that over 10 years ago when she went to see Rick perform at the New York State Fair, he slammed her with his butt so hard that it knocked her unconscious, causing her to suffer “serious, disabling and permanent injuries.” Rick is being tried in a civil court. He testified that he realizes his female fans are attracted to his rear end and reach out to grab it when he’s on stage, but he is very careful about not getting too close to them.
Rosie Perez joined The View only four months ago, and it looks like she’s come to the end of her run. When she was hired, everybody knew she’d be taking the month of January off to do this role on Broadway, but the plan was for her to come back when she was done. According to Variety, that ain’t happening….A source says Rosie “never got the hang of the show’s mixture of hard and soft news” and that she had trouble reading from the TelePrompTer. ABC told “Us Weekly” that Rosie’s status with the show hasn’t changed, but I guess we’ll know the truth when and if she shows back up next month.
A model who claims Bill Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion back in 2008 met with the LAPD yesterday. Chloe Goins attorney said her case could fall within the statute of limitations which would allow them to pursue criminal charges.
Gwyneth Paltrow is out promoting her new movie Mortdecai but Howard Stern got her to talk about pretty much everything but that! She says that her best celebrity friends are Cameron Diaz, Jay Z and Beyonce. She thought Brad Pitt was too good for her and when she called off their engagement, her father was devastated! Of her three-year relationship with Ben Affleck, Gwyneth said “he wasn’t in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend.” And as far as her estranged husband Chris Martin dating Jennifer Lawrence or ANY other woman, Gwyneth said, “I don’t think he’d be with someone who wasn’t great.”
