Set your DVRs for August 26. That’s the last night of “Chelsea Lately.” After seven years, Chelsea Handler is ending her late night relationship with E! There will be a month-long celebration of special episodes and surprise guests leading up to the live series finale.

Did you know that 2002’s “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” is the highest-grossing romantic comedy in history?? It obviously deserves a sequel and that’s exactly what’s happening. Nia Vardalos has already written the script. She and John Corbett are coming back to reprise their roles. Nia tweeted confirmation of the news, “#MyBigFatGreekWedding2, thank you for the love, yes the entire big fat family is invited back for the sequel.” She added, “A few jaded press corps will claim I ran out of money or just want to kiss John Corbett again. One of these things is true.”

Mariah Carey was honored at the World Music Awards in Monaco last night with the Pop Icon Award. To celebrate such a prestigious honor, producers wanted Mariah to kick off the show with a performance of her new song, “Meteorite.” I guess producers didn’t get the memo on Mariah’s problem with punctuality because she showed up late the delayed the start of the awards show by an hour. Only an hour? Mariah is improving!

Brad Pitt was attacked at the premiere of Angelina Jolie’s “Maleficent” last night. It was that idiot Ukrainian prankster Vitalii Sediuk, who’s made a name for himself by pulling red carpet stunts like kissing Will Smith and diving under America Ferrara’s dress. He also rushed the stage during Adele’s Grammy acceptance speech only to be shooed away by Jennifer Lopez. Well, this time, Vitalii went WAY too far. He leaped over the a barricade and lunged at Brad, hitting him in the face. Security quickly subdued him and Vitalii was arrested for misdemeanor battery. He was taken to jail with bail set at $20K.

One Direction’s Louis and Zayn set off a media frenzy when video of them smoking pot was released online. A source told “The Sun” that Harry is furious with the guys for doing something so “stupid and reckless.” The source says that despite his reputation for being a ladies man, Harry is very professional, and he doesn’t like the fact that everyone’s focusing on this pot video when the focus should be on one of the biggest weeks of the band’s career — the launch of their UK stadium tour. This could end up causing a major rift in the band. This source says it’s understood that Harry and Niall fly to gigs on a separate non-smoking private jet, but when the band flew from Ireland to Newcastle yesterday, this time they were joined by Liam.
