What happened this weekend at the Box Office… Carrie Underwood speaks out on bad reviews… Selena Gomez drops the F-bomb… Lindsay Lohan linked to Barron Hilton getting beat up… and Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner spotted together in NYC

In its second weekend at the box office, “Frozen” took the top spot with $31.6 million in ticket sales. After two weeks at number one, “Catching Fire” slipped to second with $27 million. And the only new release out this weekend was “Out of the Furnace” starring Christian Bale, Casey Affleck and Woody Harrelson. It debuted in third with only $5.3 million.

Carrie Underwood is getting praised for her singing but pummeled for her acting in last Thursday’s “Sound of Music Live!” No matter how thick your skin is, eventually those comments start to sting a little. And to her worst critics, Carrie finally had to say something. On Friday she tweeted: “Plain and simple: Mean people need Jesus. They will be in my prayers tonight… 1 Peter 2:1-25.” It’s a long passage, but it starts like this: “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.” (NIV) And with that, Carrie hasn’t tweeted since.

Technical problems plagued the performers at KIIS FM’s 2013 Jingle Ball in LA Friday night. But it looks like Selena Gomez got the worst of it. A concert goer told E! News that from the first song, Selena was messing around with her ear piece so you knew something wasn’t right. Then her audio and microphone cut out and suddenly — clear as day — Selena blurted out, “What the f***?!” Selena tried to chit-chat with the crowd while the problem was fixed, promising to perform at least two more songs “before you guys go on to the people that you care about…” Poor Selena!!! But after performing “Come & Get It,” Selena dropped her mic and just walked off stage.

Paris Hilton’s little brother Barron got beaten up by a guy at a house party in South Beach this weekend. He claims Lindsay Lohan egged the guy on, with her yelling, “You talk s*** about me to my boyfriend, this is what you get!” But the guy who did the beating — former NY Times blogger Ray Lemoine — says it all started when he tried to kick Barron and a group of other people out of the house he and some friends had rented on Star Island. He claims Barron threw down, “Do you know who I am?? Who my SISTERS are??” and then threw the first punch. No matter how it actually went down, after the attack, video captured Barron confronting Lindsay as she got into an SUV. She, of course, denied any involvement whatsoever. Barron has filed a police report and officers now want to talk to her and to this Lemoine guy. Barron posted a picture of his battered face on Instagram, and his big sister Paris commented: “They both will pay for what they did. No one f***s with my family and gets away with it!!”

It looks like things are heating up between Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner. The two of them were spotted leaving the Gansevoort Hotel together in NYC and she was backstage when One Direction performed on “Saturday Night Live.” Harry and Kendall did not attend the SNL after-party, and we’re not sure where they actually ended up…however we assume wherever it was, they were together.
