The trailer has dropped for the new Prime Video docuseries “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets,” which starts streaming on June 2. We’ll hear from several former members of the non-denominational religious organization, the Institute in Basic Life Principles, but the Duggar name is the most famous. For years, The Institute has been criticized for its cult-like teachings. Jinger Duggar left the church in 2017 and wrote a book about how The Institute manipulated its members with fear. For instance, she was afraid God would kill her in a car accident if she didn’t stay home and read her Bible. Another former member of The Institute said the religion’s founder turned “every father into a cult leader and every home into an island.” We witnessed that on the TV show. Another former member said when she read The Handmaid’s Tale, she thought, “This is my life.” And still another accused The Institute of raising little predators. Case in point, Josh Duggar, who was accused of molesting five underage girls, including two of his sisters, and was sentenced to 12 years in prison for receiving and possessing child pornography. Jill Duggar — who was on of the kids on “19 Kids and Counting” — which started out as “17 Kids and Counting” — took part in the docuseries, along with her cousin Amy Dugger, who was the rebellious outcast of the family. Jill said she agreed to do it because “there’s a story that’s going to be told and I would rather be the one telling it.”

It’s the end of the road for a lot of TV shows. After only one season each, ABC swung the axe on Hilary Swank’s “Alaska Daily” and Milo Ventimiglia’s “The Company You Keep.” They’re also getting rid of “Big Sky” and “The Goldbergs.” Over on CBS, “East New York,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “True Lies” and “S.W.A.T.” were all canceled, but there was such an uproar over “S.W.A.T.” being canceled that CBS decided to bring it back to wrap things up with a final Season 7. Fox dropped “9-1-1” but it got picked up by ABC. But “Call Me Kat,” “Fantasy Island,” and “The Resident” are all dead in the water. There are way too many streaming shows to mention, but among them….Disney+ is dropping “The Mighty Ducks” and “Big Shot”… Max is cutting ties with “Gossip Girl,” the Batman prequel “Pennyworth,” and “Titans.” And on Netflix, it’s bye-bye to “Bling Empire” and “Bling Empire: New York,” “Big Mouth” and its spinoff “Human Resources,” “Sex/Life,” and “Uncoupled,” which got picked up by Showtime, which has canceled “Ziwe” and “The L Word: Generation Q.”

Someone called 911 to report a possible seizure at Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood yesterday afternoon. Paramedics arrived to find that Dixie D’Amelio was the person in distress, but it turns out she was suffering from severe dehydration which led to her almost passing out. Dixie was taken by ambulance to the hospital to be treated with fluids and she’s feeling much better. In fact, she plans to attend the launch party for the D’Amelio family’s shoe line tonight. In fact, she plugged the shoe line on her SnapChat from her hospital bed, showing all these monitors hooked up to her chest. We get to follow the story of how the D’Amelio Footwear line came to be on Season 3 of “The D’Amelio Show” on Hulu.

It’s no secret that Beyoncé is a perfectionist, but “The Sun” says she takes it to the next level. Their source says Beyoncé has a body double who travels with her to each venue of her Renaissance tour and takes her place during technical rehearsals. That’s because Beyoncé wants to see how the show will look from the audience’s perspective. She takes notes during the rehearsal and then tweaks whatever isn’t working for her. And congratulations to Natalia Bryant! Kobe and Vanessa Bryant’s oldest daughter is now interning on Beyoncé’s tour! We don’t know exactly what she’s doing, but her name popped up in the full credits for the Renaissance tour. Beyoncé is very close to the Bryants, and Natalia refers to her as “Auntie BB.”

“The Sun” is also reporting that Harry Styles is getting close to Victoria’s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel. If this is true, this would be the seventh Angel in Harry’s dating resume. Way back in 2013, he was linked to Cara Delevingne. The next year, he briefly dated Kendall Jenner. Following that, Harry blew through Nadine Leopold, Sara Sampaio and Georgia Fowler in the span of a year. Side note: Many believe Harry’s song “Georgia” is about her. In 2017, Harry started dating Camille Rowe, and that lasted for about a year. Several songs on his “Fine Line” album are about her, including my favorite “Cherry.” In fact, that’s Camille speaking French at the end. Most recently Harry was caught tongue wrestling with Emily Ratajkowski on a street in Tokyo. And now here we are with a rumored relationship developing between him and Candice. Harry and Candice first met back in 2017, when he performed at the Victoria Secret fashion show in Shanghai. She was engaged at the time and Harry was most likely still with Camille. But now, they are both single, so let’s see what happens! And sticking with his preference for older women, Harry is 29 and Candice is 34.
