Emmy nominations were announced… Kendall Jenner meme… Mike Fleiss drama… Sarah Hyland is engaged… and Harry Styles Is Rumored to Play Prince Eric
The Emmy nominations were announced yesterday and HBO led the pack with a record-setting 137. Netflix followed with 117, and NBC was third with 58. Even though there was a petition demanding a season do-over, “Game of Thrones” picked up 32 nominations for HBO, including Outstanding Drama Series. Netflix’s most-nominated show was “When They See Us,” which got 16. Now, you would think that for its final season, “The Big Bang Theory” would’ve gotten a lot of nominations just for sentimental reasons alone. The show only got 3 nominations and was shut out in all the acting categories. And if you’re ticked off that “Stranger Things” didn’t get a single nomination, don’t be. Season 3 wasn’t released in time for consideration. The Emmys air Tuesday, Sept. 22, on FOX.
Somebody posted a meme about Kendall Jenner that went viral. It shows 5 NBA players — D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Ben Simmons, Kyle Kuzma and Blake Griffin and it’s titled “Starting 5 of NBA Players Kendall Jenner Dated.” It’s captioned, “This is a playoff team lmao.” That meme happened to pop up in Kendall’s feed and she responded, “2 out of 5 accurate, thanks.” And those two would be Blake and Ben.
Six days after Mike Fleiss filed for divorce from his wife Laura, which she claims she found out about in the press, she filed for an emergency restraining order against him. Laura claims that when she told Mike she was pregnant with his second child, he demanded that she get an abortion. A couple weeks later, they got into a huge fight and that’s when Laura claims Mike attacked her. She and her attorneys provided a judge with stills from a video surveillance camera where it appears that Laura is defending herself against him. Mike says he and Laura agreed to not have a second child, but she went off her birth control without telling him and lied about it. A couple weeks later, he found out about the lie, which led to a huge argument over what other lies she may have been telling him. Mike grabbed her phone because he believed she was cheating on him and that the baby could belong to some other man, and that’s when she attacked him. Mike says he was trying to remove himself from the situation, but Laura followed him outside, pounding on him with her fists and jumping on his back while trying to get her phone back and THAT’S what was caught on the security camera. He also released TONS of text messages from Laura in which she apologizes profusely for lying to him and begs him to give her another chance. You can see them on The Blast.
Sarah Hyland had a crush on Wells Adams when he was a contestant on JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette. She would tweet about him — always tagging him, of course! — and he started responding! That led to this back and forth twitter flirtation that eventually led to LOVE! He moved to LA from Nashville to be with her and now, three years after those first tweets, Wells and Sarah are getting married! He shared the video of his proposal on the beach, and Sarah shared photos. She captioned her with a line from the movie “It Takes Two,” starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It’s that line Mary-Kate says to Kirstie Alley, about how she’s looking for “That can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff.”
He may not be playing Elvis, but could this possibly be even better?? Harry Styles is rumored to be up for the role of Prince Eric in Disney’s live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid”! Eric didn’t sing in the original movie, but he DID sing in the Broadway version. And if Harry does get the part, he’ll be starring alongside Beyonce’s protege Halle Bailey as Ariel. Melissa McCarthy is rumored to be playing Ursula, but that’s still not official. Lizzo is still praying for a miracle that she’ll get the part. Scuttle the seagull was originally voiced by Buddy Hackett, but this time around we’ll hear the voice of Awkwafina. And Jacob Tremblay — the little boy from “Room” — will be the voice of Flounder. Production is set to begin early next year.
