Casualties of the fall TV season… Van carrying the camera crew for “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” was involved in an accident… Amy Poehler and Tina Fey will host the Golden Globes through 2015… Is Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes relationship romantic?… and Has Charlie Humman’s replacement been found?
We’re only 3 weeks into the fall TV season, and we’ve already seen some casualties. ABC’s “Lucky 7” and “We Are Men” on CBS were both canceled after 2 airings. A couple other new shows are in danger of getting the axe if things don’t turn around soon — ABC’s “Betrayal” and NBC’s “Welcome to the Family.” NBC’s “Ironside” and “Sean Saves the World” are doing a little bit better, but not much. Even though it’s still trying to find a strong audience, NBC has faith in “The Michael J. Fox Show” and they’ve made a full-season commitment. And what’s doing good? CBS is happy with Robin Williams’ comedy “The Crazy Ones” and “The Blacklist” on NBC, Fox’s “Sleepy Hollow” and ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” are doing well.
The van carrying the camera crew for “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” was involved in an accident in LA yesterday. They were trying to film Kris Jenner as she was tooling around the San Fernando Valley and having lunch with her daughter Kourtney. The photographers ended up crashing into an SUV that was tailing Kris. The paparazzo who was driving it had to be rushed to the the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
It was announced yesterday that Amy Poehler and Tina Fey will host the Golden Globes through 2015. After the announcement, Amy admitted that last year, they didn’t know what to expect and it was a strange experience, but they had a lot of fun. She said they thought, “Maybe we can try it again and, like fools, we are giving it another shot.” Amy also said, “I can’t stress enough how little we will prepare until very close to the show. We’ll treat it like Weekend Update — it’s a little SNL style and you have to work backwards… You can’t really do this kind of stuff too early and you can’t over-think it.”
Has the relationship between Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes gone from platonic to romantic? Back in August, the two were seen at a charity event in the Hamptons grinding to “Blurred Lines.” And recently, a maid swears Katie spent the night at Jamie’s hotel room in NYC. But Jamie swore to “Entertainment Tonight” that the rumors of him dating Katie are “100 percent not true.” He said, “In fact, it’s quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people.”
Has Charlie Humman’s replacement been found? The minute he backed out as Christian Grey in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” the search was on for his replacement. Even though EL James wrote the part with Robert Pattinson in mind, he once again let everyone know that he’s not interested. And now the “Hollywood Reporter” says Jamie Dornan is close to getting the part. Who is Jamie Dornan?? If you watched “Once Upon a Time” on ABC, he played the Huntsman. Meantime, Dakota Johnson reportedly is afraid she’ll lose the part of Anastasia because one of the main reasons she got the part was because of her chemistry with Charlie. If she doesn’t produce some sparks with his replacement, she may be out of the movie.
