“Insatiable” was renewed… Bekah Martinez is having a baby… Mel B hooked up with Zac Efron… Warner Bros. looking for new options… and Henry Cavill responds to Superman rumors
Before it even aired, someone started a Change.org petition to keep Netflix from airing the series, “Insatiable.” More than 100K people signed it, saying the show promoted fat-shaming. But apparently, enough people ended up watching it because Netflix has renewed “Insatiable” for a second season. The show follows a girl named Patty who lost a bunch of weight after having her jaw wired shut and then seeks revenge on everyone who bullied her when she was overweight.

Remember cute little Bekah Martinez from Arie’s season of the Bachelor? Remember how all the other girls told her she was too young to know what love is? Well, she isn’t too young to know what goes where because Bekah is having a baby! She and her boyfriend Grayston Leonard are expecting their little bundle of joy in January. Bekah told PureWow.com, “I’ve gone back and forth on the idea of marriage and relationships, but I’ve always felt sure that I want to be a mom.”

A British tabloid says that after she left her husband, Mel B started hooking up with Zac Efron. Their source says Mel and Zac connected on an exclusive dating app — we assume Raya — and after some flirty text messages, he ended up driving over to her place. The source said, “It wasn’t exactly a meeting of the minds. Neither saw it as long-term, but there was chemistry there.” Plus, Mel thought Zac had an amazing body. Duh. Zac has talked about using dating apps before, but he said nobody would ever swipe right on him because they assumed it was a fake profile. By the way, Mel B is 43. Zac is 30.

Ben Affleck probably won’t play Batman again, and now Warner Bros. is going to have to start looking at other options. According to Revenge of the Fans, the movie studio was considering Kit Harington at one point and even went so far as to request digital mock-ups of Kit as the Caped Crusader. The site also says Jake Gyllenhaal and British actor Jack Huston were being considered for Batman, as well.

While there’s a lot of buzz that Henry Cavill is done playing Superman, his agent says we shouldn’t jump to any conclusions. Reportedly, Warner Bros. couldn’t get Henry to agree to do a cameo in next year’s “Shazam!” which led to rumors that Henry is out. And then Henry posted a weird video of him wearing a Krypton Lifting Team shirt while dramatically lifting a Superman action figure into the screen. He captioned it, “Today was exciting #Superman.” Henry’s agent tweeted, “Be peaceful, the cape is still in his closet. @WBPictures has been and continues to be our partners as they evolve the DC Universe. Anticipate a WB statement later today.” And then a spokesperson from the studio issued this statement: “While no decisions have been made regarding any upcoming Superman films, we’ve always had great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill, and that remains unchanged.” What does that mean???? Now people are speculating who will take over as the next Superman. A couple of names we’ve heard include Michael B. Jordan and Irish actor Colin O’Donoghue.
