Box office weekend… Celebrity babies… Relationship roundup… Britney Spears demands apology… and Jamie Foxx was spotted in public

“Insidious: The Red Door” opened in first place this weekend with $32.7M, bumping “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” down to second with $26.5M. But the big surprise was what came in third. Jim Caviezel’s faith-based movie “Sound of Freedom” debuted on the Fourth of July. It earned 18.2M over the weekend, but in its first six days, it earned just over $40M. The interesting thing about this movie is that it’s partially crowdfunded. Also, the Utah-based Angel Studios used the Pay It Forward app which allowed people to buy and then donate tickets to people who couldn’t afford the admission price. That alone added $2.6M to the movie’s opening day total. “Sound of Freedom” is based on the true story of a former government agent’s mission to rescue children from sex traffickers in Colombia. Coming in fourth this weekend was Pixar and Disney’s “Elemental” with another $9.6M, followed by “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” with $8M. Its grand total so far is $357.6M and with that, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” overtakes “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3” as the highest-grossing movie of the summer.

Celebrity baby news! Erin Andrews has been very open about her infertility struggles, saying earlier this year that she’d been going through IVF for 9 years. But now Page Six is reporting that Erin and her former hockey player husband Jarret Still have welcomed a baby boy, via surrogate. Page Six’s sources say the baby is named Mack and that he arrived a couple weeks ago. No confirmation from the couple yet, but congratulations! And while Ana was marrying Ryan in Cancun, Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara were busy welcoming their second son! Meghan posted on IG, “On July 1st (our 7 year anniversary of our first date) we welcomed Barry Bruce Trainor into the world. He was a big boy at 8lbs 7oz…and sideways (transverse), but we had an amazing, successful c-section, and I finally got my skin to skin time! Thank you to all of the incredible doctors and nurses who took such great care of us.” Barry’s big brother Riley turned 2 in February.

TONS of celebrity relationship news! In the Real Housewives world, after accusations of gambling addictions, drug use and mental and physical abuse, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann have shockingly called off their divorce. And after 27 years of marriage, Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky announced they’ve separated. Some are wondering if this is to drum up interest in the upcoming season of Beverly Hills. Sources have said filming without Lisa Rinna has been less than exciting. Outside of the reality world, after 6 years of marriage and 4 kids, Ricky Martin and Jwan Joseph have announced they’re divorcing. But congratulations to Logan Paul and Nina Agdal on their engagement. After celebrating one year of dating in May, Logan popped the question during a vacation in Lake Como, Italy. If Nina’s name sounds familiar, she’s one of Leonardo DiCaprio’s model exes. They dated from 2016-2017, when she was 24 and he was 41. Also engaged are Ashley Benson and Brandon Davis. He’s the heir of an oil tycoon who’s famous for dating Mischa Barton and feuding with Lindsay Lohan. Brandon gave her the nickname “fire crotch.” Ashley’s dating history includes Cara Delavigne and G-Eazy. And even though there were rumors Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian had a little something brewing, the Daily Mail says that’s not the case. Kim and Tom were at the same Fourth of July party, but a source says they barely interacted at all. The source told the Daily Mail, “He actually spent the evening with Emily Ratajkowski. They were together most of the night and looked very cozy. They didn’t leave together but if anyone was getting close, it was them.”

The NBA Summer League is taking place in Vegas, and Britney Spears just so happened to be there last week, as well. She and the No. 1 draft pick Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs happened to be walking into the same restaurant, and Britney decided she wanted to congratulate him on all his success. After calling his name a couple times, Britney ran up behind Victor’s entourage and attempted to tap him on the shoulder, but before she could reach him, the security guy backhanded her arm away and accidentally smacked her in the face. Before video showing this interactions, Britney posted on Instagram that the security guard hit her so hard it knocked the glasses off her face and almost knocked her down. She said she stood with victims of violence and was still waiting on an apology from Victor, his security or his team. She’s still waiting. Meantime, Victor claimed he was grabbed by someone from behind, but didn’t know it was Britney. He said all he was doing was following the orders of his security team and kept on walking.

Back in April, Jamie Foxx’s daughter announced he’d suffered a “medical complication” and left it at that. After tons of rumors and speculation, it looks like Jamie Foxx is doing great! He was enjoying a cruise on the Chicago River yesterday, smiling and waving to everyone who recognized him. And on June 28, Madonna was found unconscious in her home and was then rushed to the hospital where she reportedly was put on a breathing tube for at least one night. But a TikToker posted photos of Madonna walking around the Upper East Side with a friend yesterday and she looked really good. Sources who saw her told Page Six that she didn’t appear to have any trouble walking, but she did seem to be moving a little slowly. Madonna had been scheduled to kick off her world tour this Saturday in Vancouver. The tour has been postponed indefinitely.
