Channing Tatum’s big announcement… The revolving “Live! With Kelly and Michael” door… Justin Bieber kissing Selena Gomez pic… Lee Daniels apology to Sean Penn… and Janet Jackson pregnant with her first child at almost 50
Channing Tatum is turning his male stripper past into a money making machine. First, he gave us the semi-autobiographical movie “Magic Mike.” Then we got “Magic Mike XXL.” And now, Channing gives us Magic Mike Live! It’s coming next March to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. He told Cosmopolitan.com that this isn’t all about the ladies. He said, “Even when I was actually stripping, it didn’t feel like it was for the women. It felt like it was more for the guy to go up and feel good about himself. It was like, ‘Hey, look at me.’ It was in the glam rock (era) where dudes thought they were rock stars, and they were sort of living out these fantasies…We want to create a place for women that is their gentlemen’s club, their Playboy club. It shouldn’t be sleazy.” He’s also open to suggestions.

After Michael Strahan leaves “Live! With Kelly and Michael” next week, the revolving door of co-hosts goes into full swing. ABC has announced the first week of Kelly Ripa’s co-hosts. On Monday, May 16, Jimmy Kimmel will chat things up with Kelly. On Tuesday, it’s Jussie Smollet from “Empire,” followed by Cedric the Entertainer, ABC anchor David Muir, and Daniel Dae Kim from “Hawaii Five-O.” None of these men are gunning for the permanent spot. When Regis Philbin retired, it took almost a year for them to pick Michael out of 59 different candidates who auditioned for the spot.
Back in March Justin Bieber posted a throwback photo of him kissing Selena Gomez. He captioned it, “Feels.” That picture has now become the most-liked photo on Instagram. Until now, Kendall Jenner held the top spot with that picture of her lying down on the floor with her hair shaped into hearts all around her head. Within 15 minutes of Justin posting that throwback photo, it had almost 350K likes. And the Beliebers just kept liking it! It has now been double-tapped close to 3.6 million times in the past two months.
Last year, Sean Penn sued Lee Daniels for defamation after Lee accused him of being violent towards women. Sean originally wanted $10 million, but the two of them — or their lawyers, at least — have come up with something to keep this whole mess out of court. First, Lee had to issue a public apology, which was released yesterday. It said in part, “I am so sorry that I have hurt you, Sean, and I apologize and retract my reckless statements about you. How thoughtless of me. You are someone I consider a friend, a brilliant actor and true Hollywood legend and humanitarian.” Lee also had to cut a check to Sean’s foundation for Haiti, although we don’t know how many zeroes were added to make Sean happy. After all of that, Sean issued his own statement saying he appreciates Lee’s “heartfelt apology” and “the sincerity with which it was delivered.”
When Janet Jackson announced she was postponing her tour because she and her husband were starting to plan their family, her fans went crazy nuts on her and demanded refunds. But now it turns out Janet must’ve just found out she was pregnant because now we know that she and Wissam Al Mana are expecting their first child. A source says she’s due in late fall, early winter. Considering Janet’s age — she’ll be 50 on May 16th — doctors have advised her to take it verrrrrrry easy.
