The weekend box office news… Chrissy Teigen’s big donation… Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka are done… Britney Spears wraps up Vegas on December 31st… and Janet Jackson splits from husband three months after giving birth

The top of the box office looks the same as last week. “The Boss Baby” was first again with $26.3 million, followed by “Beauty and the Beast” with $25 million. Coming in third was the new “Smurfs: The Lost Village” with $14 million. Another new one — “Going In Style” — debuted in fourth with $12.5 million. And rounding out the top five, “Ghost in the Shell” with $7.35 million.

And apparently, Mercedes Edney has crossed Chrissy Teigen’s social media feed so many times that Chrissy felt a connection to her. After Mercedes received a handful of small donations, Chrissy decided to make up the difference with a $5605 donation. She typed out a little note with her donation: “I’ve seen this be your passion for such a long time now. So excited to see you fulfill your dream!”

After five blissful months, Bryan Tanaka is off the gravy train. But, dang! That was some good gravy! Mariah Carey and her boy toy backup dancer Bryan are done. Sources say there are a couple of reasons why this relationship couldn’t go that distance. First, Bryan was insanely jealous of Mariah’s relationship with her ex-husband, Nick Cannon. They celebrate holidays together…they go on vacations together…Nick and Mariah would even have dinner together without their children, which really ticked Bryan off. But one source says the final straw was the recent Kid’s Choice Awards. Nick and Mariah took the twins, posing like a happy family for the cameras. Bryan reportedly felt “disrespected” and demanded that Mariah come home. Well, Mr. Tanaka, NOBODY demands that Mariah come home! TMZ is also reporting that Mariah is sick of playing the sugar mama. Sure, it was fun at first, but then Bryan started taking advantage of the situation with expensive shopping sprees. Reportedly, they haven’t seen or spoken to each other since they got back from vacation together in Cabo a couple weeks ago.

If you’ve been putting off that wild weekend trip to Vegas to catch Britney Spears’ “Piece of Me” show at Planet Hollywood, you’d better start putting those plans into motion! Britney debuted her show on December 27, 2013, and her contract with Caesar’s Entertainment wraps up on December 31st. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Britney is ready to retire the show. Her manager, Larry Rudolph, says they haven’t decided their next move, but Britney loves Vegas. He told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, “We are still talking with Caesars Entertainment and other interested parties in Las Vegas….Anything is possible. We have made zero decisions. We expect a lot of interest from all parties.” He also added that she may decide to tour or work on a new album. But as of now, December 31st is it! So expect tickets to be expensive and hard to come by.

Just 3 months ago, Janet Jackson and her reclusive billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana welcomed a baby boy. But after five years of marriage, Janet and Wissam have decided to end their marriage. Some are saying it was amicable, but Page Six quotes a source who works closely with the couple as saying, “She thought he had become too controlling during the pregnancy and she had already allowed him to dictate her appearance and even the way she performed at concerts.” The source said she had to tone down her tour and wear clothing that covered her body. She also declined to do any music videos that featured any bumping and grinding. The source said Janet began to resent her husband’s reclusiveness and she was tired of doing all the compromising in the relationship.
