Deadline is reporting that MGM is “near a deal” with Reese Witherspoon to bring us “Legally Blonde 3.” Three years ago, Reese said she thought it was a good time to bring Elle Woods back to the big screen. She said a the time, “I actually think it’s kind of great right now because we’re talking about women in politics and how important that is…to get more women. And I think it’d be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court Justice or somebody who runs for office or president.” Since then, with the #MeToo movement, Reese is even more excited to make this happen. And the original scriptwriters are said to be close to signing their deals, too.

ONE BIG ROYALS NEWS UPDATE! The Queen not only gifted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with royal titles — the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — she also gifted them a country home! York Cottage is located at the 20,000 acres Sandringham Estate, which is a little over 100 miles away from Kensington Palace. So now it’s believed that Harry and Meghan have three homes: Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace — which is where Harry lived as a bachelor and proposed to Meghan over roasted chicken; a luxury estate they rented in The Cotswolds for the next two years — which is where they plan to escape for weekend getaways; and now York Cottage. In other Royal Family news, after Isis threats against 4-year-old Prince George, security is being beefed WAY up for the future King. They’re not changing Prince George’s routine, but more officers will be with him at school and when he goes on any outings, official or otherwise.

So apparently Sofia Richie stomped her feet and dumped Scott Disick, but after a good little pout by her and some smooth talk by him, the two of them are back together. And just to let EVERYONE know — including her dad — the two of them rolled up to Nobu in Malibu in Scott’s drop-top Rolls Royce yesterday afternoon. Let’s not judge her too harshly. We’re getting more details on that welfare check Janet Jackson requested for her one-year-old son, who was on a scheduled visit with his father at the Nobu Hotel in Malibu. At first we heard the nanny — who works for Janet — locked herself in the bathroom because Wissam Al Mina was being aggressive, so she called her boss Janet who called 911. According to The Blast, Janet told police she believed Wissam was acting erratically because of drugs. But a source at the LA County Sheriff’s office said there was “zero suspicion” that Wissam had used anything and that they don’t know why Janet made that allegation. Of course we know why! They’re getting divorced! And people act crazy when they’re getting divorced! But according to The Blast, the reason the nanny called Janet was because she was upset that Wissam wouldn’t give her the hotel’s Wi-Fi password.
