Ranker is a website with polls on just about anything you can think of. If it’s not on there, start your own poll. Rankings will move up and down based on how many votes come in. Because we’re so close to the end of the year, Ranker is posting tons of “Best of 2020” lists, like Best Netflix Original Movies, Best Kpop Ballad, Best Sitcoms, etc. Because the polls are active, rankings are changing all the time, so just know that these are the rankings as of Monday morning, Dec. 7th. Out of a million plus votes for the Hottest Men of 2020, the same man who was the hottest in 2018 and 2019 still ranks as the hottest in 2020 — Chris Hemsworth. His brother Liam is 5th. Sandwiched between those two at number two is BTS member V — his real name is Kim Taehyung — followed by Harry Styles and Chris Evans. The top five Most Beautiful Women of 2020 as of now are Scarlett Johansson, followed by Margot Robbie, Gal Gadot, Jennifer Lawrence, and Alexandra Daddario. I had to look her up. She’s an actress and I haven’t seen anything she’s in.

Last Monday morning, Ryan Gallagher tweeted, “Here we go America!! Never thought a small town guy like me would make it here! @NBCTheVoice @kellyclarkson.” But later that night, Carson Daly announced that Ryan “had to exit the competition” but didn’t say why. Later, NBC announced that Ryan was removed after they were made aware that he’d breached their strict COVID protocols. How? They wouldn’t say. But Ryan and his manager say that is absolutely not true. His manager released a statement saying more than anyone, Ryan understood how serious the pandemic is because his mom was recently in ICU for 3 weeks. He said, “It was a scary time for Ryan and his family and he certainly would not knowingly put anyone at risk by not adhering to the show’s COVID-19 policy. As you can imagine there is more to the story here than the show has announced and at an appropriate time and place of our choosing Ryan and I will be able to share the balance of the details, as well as Ryan’s side of the story.” It sounds like they’re gearing up for a lawsuit to me.

For weeks, YouTube star Logan Paul has been calling out Floyd Mayweather Jr., and finally, the call has been answered. On February 20, 2021, Logan will face Floyd in the ring, and it will cost you $25 if you’re one of the first million to order it. If you wait until the day of the fight, it goes up to $70. What are Logan’s chances in the ring with a boxing legend? Logan’s record is 0-1. He lost to fellow YouTuber KSI by judge’s decision. At the time he retired in 2017, Floyd’s record was 50-0 with 27 KOs. Floyd is now 43, stands 5’8” and weighs 150. Logan is 25, 6’2” and 199. Who are you putting your money on?

Because there really weren’t any new movies to award in 2020, MTV decided to go with “The MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time,” which aired last night. Among the highlights, “Scream” actress Neve Campbell presented Jamie Lee Curtis with the award for reigning Scream Queen. Jamie brought out her good buddy Michael Myers from the “Halloween” movies to help her accept the award, saying, “Don’t worry. We both had COVID tests and he’s wearing a mask — the greatest ever.” She also said she hopes we enjoy the next two Halloween movies, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair won the Legendary Lip Lock title and recreated their kiss from “Cruel Intentions.” They were separated by a sheet of glass because COVID. And did you realize Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler have been in a movie together in each of the last three decades?? That’s one of the reasons MTV presented them with the GOAT Dynamic Duo. Adam and Drew also teased that they should look for another movie to do together in this decade.

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright released almost identical statements on Friday, announcing they were leaving “Vanderpump Rules.” In other words, they were fired. Jax was one of the OG cast members who launched the show in 2013, but after 8 Seasons, he’s out. Brittany lasted 5 Seasons, but she can’t really stay on the show without Jax. But will there ever be another season of “Vanderpump Rules” anyway? Lisa’s restaurants are closed because of COVID and Bravo hasn’t announced plans for Season 9 yet. But if they do come back, the only original cast members still standing are Scheana Shay, the Toms – Sandoval and Schwartz, and Katie Maloney.
