Gina Rodriguez rapped the n-word… Neil Patrick Harris joins the cast of ‘Matrix 4’… Felicity Huffman is behind bars… Nicki Minaj spills an Adele collaboration… and Jennifer Aniston broke Instagram
Gina Rodriguez was on her Instagram Story, singing along to the Fugees’ “Ready or Not” while she was getting her hair and makeup done. And then came a lyric with the N-word in it and yeah….she said it. Backlash was swift. Gina deleted the video and apologized, explaining, “I am sorry if I offended anyone by singing along to the Fugees, to a song I love that I grew up on.” People didn’t like that, either. People were calling her out for her weak apology. Others are saying she’s been giving hints that she doesn’t like black people for years and now she is officially canceled. Some of the comments include,
“She FINALLY said it! I BEEN waiting! We got you on camera, HD!! You are done!!!”
“Finally got enough evidence to fully cancel Gina Rodriguez.”
“The fact that the stans have been waiting YEARS to cancel Gina Rodriguez and she basically handed it to us on a silver platter love to see it.”
But she does have her defenders, calling out hypocrites who are way too quick to cancel people.
Among the supportive comments,
“I love how y’all are trying to cancel Gina Rodriguez for saying the “n” word but haven’t cancelled Card* B for it.”
“I DONT agree with Gina Rodriguez saying the n word on her story but why doesnt everyone have the same cancel culture energy when these non black rappers use it all the time & its completely overlooked? If your gonna be pissed off about it you gotta be the same towards everyone.”
“(BLANK) everyone who tries to cancel Gina Rodriguez she could kill my dog and I would still love her.”
We all got excited when we found out we’re getting another Matrix movie and both Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are coming back as Neo and Trinity. Now we hear that Jada Pinkett Smith is in talks to join the sequel. She played the human resistance fighter Niobe in the second and third movies in the franchise. And The Wrap is reporting that Neil Patrick Harris is in talks to take on a lead role in “The Matrix 4.”
Felicity Huffman paid a consultant $15K to have her daughter’s SAT scores altered. That cost her 14 days in prison, a $30K fine, 250 hours of community service and a year of supervised probation. She had until October 25 to turn herself in, but she went ahead and pulled the trigger yesterday. Felicity checked in to a low-security federal prison for women just outside San Francisco to begin her 14 days. She reportedly had to go through the humiliation of a strip search and was then given a jumpsuit, 3 pairs of underwear, a hygiene kit with a comb, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, and one roll of toilet paper. Reportedly, inmates only get one roll of toilet paper every two weeks, so she’s got to make that last!

When she was on Carpool Karaoke, Adele impressed us with her word-for-word rendition of Nicki Minaj’s “Monster” and Nicki responded by performing “Hello” on her IG Stories. Fans of one or both women will be thrilled to know that this has led to a collaboration that was supposed to be top secret until Nicki blabbed about it to Entertainment Tonight. She told ET, “Adele made me swear to secrecy that I’m not allowed to tell anyone that I’m working with her.” Oops! Not only that, Nicki revealed that they’ve already shot the video!
Jennifer Aniston decided to finally see what all the fuss was about and joined Instagram. She posted a grainy selfie of herself with all her “Friends” co-stars — Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry — and captioned it, “And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM.” Response was so huge that Jennifer’s account temporarily broke. But Instagram figured it out and now you can join the 8 million others who’ve already clicked follow.
