SPOILER ALERT: Let’s admit it. “Dancing With the Stars” isn’t always about sending home the worst dancer. At this point in the game, it’s still a popularity contest to a certain extent, and for whatever reason, people seem to like Tommy Chong a little bit more than they do Antonio Sabato, Jr. Even though they were both in the bottom two, it was Antonio who got the boot.

EVERYWHERE these days, and she’s not going away anytime soon. ABC just announced that Taylor will headline the “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” countdown with Ryan Seacrest. The show will have about 38 performances over the five and a half hours it’s on the air that night, but no other acts have been announced other than Taylor at this point.

For the third time in a year, Hugh Jackman has undergone the knife to be treated for skin cancer. He first went public with his first treatment back in November. He faced his second battle with basal cell carcinoma in May, and now this. Hugh was spotted walking his dog in NYC on Sunday wearing a bandage over his nose where the skin cancer had been removed. His rep says that Hugh is “all good” now.

Page Six is reporting that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were on their way to a fundraiser they were hosting for a rescued animals charity in Santa Monica Sunday when they got into a huge argument. It got so ugly that they turned the car around and went back home. Reporters were sitting there waiting for the couple to arrive until finally the head of the charity came out and told them that Ellen and Portia were no longer coming due to “logistics.” But Ellen and Portia are insisting that first of all, there was no huge argument that caused them to turn the car around. And second, they say they never agreed to attend the fundraiser. They explained that they only agreed to “lend” their names as honorary chairs and they never approved having their pictures used on the invitations.

A couple of celebrity breakups making the news: Bachelor Juan Pablo and Nikki Ferrell have split, and reportedly it was her that did the dumping. She unfollowed JP on Twitter and Instagram and then posted on her own Instagram page, “Isn’t it pathetic how we waste so much time on certain people and in the end they prove that they weren’t even worth a second of it.” So JP turned around and unfollowed Nikki — but then followed — and then UNfollowed — and then followed….UGH! It went back and forth several times from Sunday to Monday. But he tweeted this message, “Sometimes you WIN, sometimes you LOSE… You will ALWAYS learn…” But the bigger news is the breakup of Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin. And just like JP and Nikki, it looks like she’s the one who dumped him after only four months of dating. It may have been a rebound fling for both of them, actually. Jennifer started dating Chris right after her relationship with Nicholas Hoult ended and Chris just needed to be with someone completely opposite of Gwyneth Paltrow for a minute.
