Grammy performances… Students caught pictures of Beyonce… Star Wars: Episode VIII is being pushed back… Is Amy Schumer a joke stealer?… and Jennifer Lopez kicked off her residency in Vegas

Even though she’s not up for one, Adele is performing at the Grammys BECAUSE SHE’S FREAKING ADELE. Her album simply came out too late to be eligible this year. Also performing, Kendrick Lamar, who is up for 11 Grammys, including song of the year and album of the year for “To Pimp a Butterfly.” The Weeknd has 7 nominations and he’ll also be performing. And with two nominations, Little Big Town is also performing. More performers will be announced soon. LL Cool J is back to host for a fifth time when the Grammy winners are announced Monday, February 15, on CBS.

Eagle-eyed students whipped out their cellphones and caught pictures of Beyonce trying to be all incognito on the USC campus Monday. She was there to rehearse for her upcoming appearance during Coldplay’s Super Bowl half-time show. Beyonce was wearing a huge jacket, so it was impossible to see her belly. But I guess we’ll know one way or another whether or not she’s pregnant on February 7!

casual day at school; met Beyonce, no big deal ✌🏻️ #ftfo #notmyphoto

The Disney Studios announced yesterday that Star Wars: Episode VIII is being pushed back. Instead of May 26, 2017, fans now have to wait until December 15, 2017. That’s almost 7 whole months!!!! WHY?????? Blame it on the success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ December opening. That movie broke all kinds of box office records and timing is everything. BUT! This move will put Episode VIII in competition with Avatar 2, which opens Christmas Day 2017.

Is Amy Schumer a joke stealer?? There was a huge blowup in the Twitterverse when some comedians went back and forth over Amy stealing their material. In her since deleted tweet, Wendy Liebman said, “Between Amy Schumer doing 1 of my best jokes on her HBO special and this meme of my joke, I’m done with social media.” That’s when “Arrested Development” writer Chuck Martin tweeted her and said she should talk to Kathleen Madigan about that. And then Tammy Pescatelli responded to Wendy with this also deleted tweet, “What has always been amazing to me is that she purports to be a feminist and yet only steals from other female comedians. If we call her on it we are ‘jealous’ or career shamed. Be successful. WE want you to do well, just do it will your own material.” Yesterday, Amy went on comedian Jim Norton’s  satellite radio show to defend herself. She said she would never steal jokes and never has. She said, “I’m literally going to take a polygraph test and put it on my show this season.”

Jennifer Lopez kicked off her residency at Planet Hollywood last night. The audience was packed with celebrities who wanted to see the debut of JLo’s “All I Have” show. Justin Bieber, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hoda Kotb, Gina Rodriguez Nicole Scherzinger, T.I., Wilmer Valderrama, Rebel Wilson, Ryan Seacrest, the entire cast of her TV show “Shades of Blue” and Jennifer’s BFF Leah Remini were all there. And some surprise guests got on stage to join Jennifer. Ja Rule helped her with “I’m Real,” Ne-Yo joined her for “All I Have,” and Pitbull rapped for “On the Floor.” Jennifer will perform at Planet Hollywood during Britney Spears’ breaks. Tickets for JLo’s shows through June are currently on sale.
