Joe Jonas Says Diplo ‘Ruined’ Surprise Vegas Wedding

A Bachelor baby has arrived… Boy George is getting a movie… Jordyn Woods update… Moby cancelled his book tour… and Joe Jonas says Diplo ‘ruined’ surprise Vegas wedding to Sophie Turner

Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. was Public Enemy No. 1 after proposing to Becca Kufrin only to realize he was really in love with Lauren Burnham. Everybody was so angry at Arie, but time does have a way of making us not care any more. So congratulations to Arie and Lauren on the birth of their new daughter! Arie announced the news yesterday on Instagram: “We have a BEAUTIFUL baby girl 6 lbs, 13 oz. 20cm Long. Mommy and baby are doing great, we are so incredibly happy.” (I’m sure he meant to say “20 inches” because 20 cm = 7.87 inches.) They made us wait a minute before they revealed her name — Alessi Ren.

Movies about pop stars are all the rage right now, and Boy George is up next! MGM is developing a movie that will follow Boy George from childhood to megastardom as the lead singer for Culture Club. They’ve got the writer and director lined up, but who will play Boy George??? No names are being tossed around just yet. MGM is also developing an Aretha Franklin movie starring Jennifer Hudson as Aretha. But for right now, it’s all about Elton John! “Rocketman” hits theaters tomorrow with Taron Egerton getting rave reviews in the title role. The director is Dexter Fletcher, who also had to finish directing “Bohemian Rhapsody” after the original director Bryan Fox was fired more than halfway through filming. “Gay Star News” asked Dexter if there’s another musical icon whose story he’d like to tell next, and he said, “I’d do Madonna! That sounds like a real rollercoaster ride! It would be extraordinary.” But remember…Madonna said nobody’s telling Madonna’s story but Madonna.

Can you believe it’s been four months since Jordyn Woods destroyed her best friendship with Kylie Jenner over one little drunken makeout session with Khloe’s baby daddy? Jordyn’s been throwing all her energy into promoting her lash line and she’s been back and forth to London trying to get things cooking over there. But now Jordyn has landed her first acting gig. She’ll guest star on Season 2 of “Grown-ish,” playing a “sweet soul with a soft-spoken and sincere vulnerability.” She’ll appear later in the season. Jordyn announced the news yesterday, “This was the first role I’ve ever booked and I was nervous at first but I got past that and had the best time.” Then she offered this sage advice — “Take risks and stay consistent to your journey, you never know what the world has to offer.”

Moby has decided to cancel his book tour and “all upcoming public appearances for the foreseeable future.” But before he goes away for a while, Moby wanted to apologize AGAIN to Natalie Portman for what he wrote about her in his new autobiography Then It Fell Apart. Moby claimed when she was 20 and he was 33, Natalie hit on him backstage at one of his concerts and they dated for a hot minute before she told him she’d met someone else. Natalie says, first of all, she wasn’t 20, she was 18. And second, they didn’t date, he was just a creepy old man.

Joe Jonas told a London DJ that he and Sophie Turner wanted to keep their Las Vegas wedding a secret, but Diplo ruined it by going live on Instagram. Joe isn’t mad about it, though. He said, “I love Diplo, but he loves his ’gram more than a 13-year-old. He posts every five seconds. He literally, like, live-streamed with dog face filters. We just laughed. We loved it. We thought it was ridiculous. I just love that he was walking into the chapel and he’s like, ‘Gonna hit this wedding right quick.’” The big, romantic ceremony will reportedly happen in Paris and it looks like they’ll have to work it in sometime in July. June is pretty packed with their new “Happiness Begins” album coming out on June 7. On June 13, the brothers fill in for Kelly Ripa to cohost “Live with Kelly & Ryan.” And then their tour kicks off August 7 in Miami!
