NeNe Leakes files lawsuit… A documentary on Adele’s Las Vegas residency… Zendaya won’t attend Met Gala… Kris Jenner testifies in court… and Johnny Depp’s rampage video shown in court

Former star of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” NeNe Leakes is suing all the companies behind the show because they allowed her to be subjected to years of racist remarks by Kim Zolciak-Biermann. Kim is not named in the lawsuit, but Andy Cohen is. NeNe spent seven seasons on RHOA, spanning between 2008 and 2020. She said starting with the first season, Kim used language that “perpetuated an offensive stereotype about African-Americans” and it continued from there. In the lawsuit, NeNe claims that she complained to show executives about it, but rather than putting an end to Kim’s racially-offensive behavior, they gave her a spinoff show.

There was lots of drama and finger-pointing when Adele canceled her Vegas residency hours before the first show was scheduled to start. But now there’s a rumor that Adele plans to relaunch the residency this summer, although when, where, and how is unknown. Sources also say Adele is working on a documentary about the residency, which would include footage of the first attempt imploding.

Page Six has confirmed that Meghan Thee Stallion will be at the Met Gala is May 2, and she will be wearing a Moschino design by Jeremy Scott. But I’m sorry to disappoint a lot of people with the news that Zendaya won’t make it again this year due to her work schedule. But Zendaya told Extra that she will make up for it with better-than-ever red carpet looks throughout the remainder of the year. This year’s theme is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” piggy-backing on last year’s theme of “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion. “ The dress code, according to Vogue, calls for “gilded glamour.” Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda are this year’s hosts.

Blac Chyna was back on the stand yesterday, testifying in her case against the Kardashian/Jenners for getting her reality show with Rob canceled. Among some of the bigger revelations, Chyna testified that she hasn’t paid taxes since 2018 or 2019. THAT’s going to come back to bite her. The Kardashian/Jenners lawyer asked Chyna if she understood the contract she signed with E!, which showed she would be paid a $100K kill fee and another $370K if the network chose not to move forward with Season 2 of “Rob & Chyna.” Chyna said that was all her attorney and that yes, her signature is on the contract, but she didn’t sign it. Kris Jenner also testified about how Kylie and then boyfriend Tyga came to her claiming that Chyna had threatened to kill Kylie, but then said the attorney would have to ask them about that. Kris also testified that she still supported Rob’s engagement to Chyna because she loves second chances and she wanted Rob to be happy. Kris also testified that she negotiated $200K for a seventh episode of “Rob & Chyna,” which included footage of their daughter Dream’s birth. Kris said, “I put that in a bank account for Dream. It’s in a trust, earning interest.”

The cross-examination of Johnny Depp took up yesterday’s courtroom proceedings. Amber’s attorney focused on graphic text messages and angry audio and video recordings between the former couple. While Johnny said he’s embarrassed about some of the things he said, he testified that he often uses dark humor as a coping mechanism. A lot of media outlets are focusing on a video Amber secretly recorded of Johnny slamming kitchen cabinets and pouring himself a gigantic glass of wine. Johnny told the court, “Clearly I was having a bad time.” But while he “did assault a couple of cabinets,” Johnny said, “I did not touch Miss Heard.” He also said the most interesting part of that video to him was Amber smiling and laughing at the end of it.
