Justin Bieber started #TaylorSwiftWhatUp

Weekend box office expectations… Remake of “Splash”… Kesha continuing to fight for rights… Niall Horan slams fan… and Justin Bieber started #TaylorSwiftWhatUp

With the anticipation building, industry analysts are expecting “Suicide Squad” to have a weekend debut that could fall somewhere north of $125 million, which would easily break the all-time opening record for August. That record currently belongs to “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which opened with $94.3 million in 2014.

Because Hollywood is out of original ideas, they are remaking the 1984 movie “Splash,” which had Tom Hanks falling in love with a mermaid played by Daryl Hannah. Only THIS time around, Channing Tatum will play a merMAN and his “22 Jump Street” co-star Jillian Bell will be the woman who falls in love with him. They haven’t even written the script yet so we don’t know when this will be ready for theaters.

Kesha has dropped her sexual assault lawsuit against Dr. Luke in the state of California. However, she is moving ahead with the lawsuit she filed against him in New York. According to her legal counsel, Kesha has dropped the California lawsuit to focus on creating new music. Plus, she’s delivered 28 new songs to her record label that she would like to have released as soon as possible. They claim Sony has been holding her music hostage because of this lawsuit against Dr. Luke. Kesha tweeted, “My fight continues. I need to get my music out. I am continuing to fight for my rights in New York. Thank you for your support.”

A girl was lucky enough to sit next to Niall Horan on a 9-hour flight. She posted a picture of him dead asleep and captioned it, “And to sum up the PERFECT European adventure, I sat directly next to Niall from One Direction for 9 hours on my flight home from London last night. He was sick and asked for no selfies, but here is a pic I snapped when he was sleeping lol he was so friendly. Talked about Ireland, LSE, lolla, and more. Not a British Duke…But an Irish Popstar will do (winky emoji) thanks for treating me so well Europe!” Niall found out what she’d done, retweeted her picture and captioned it, “I think this s*** is unreal. I mean if you can’t sleep on a plane without people taking photos of you, what can u do.”

Why would Justin Bieber insert himself into this feud between Kanye West and Taylor Swift? There are a couple of reasons I can think of. First, Taylor couldn’t stand it when Justin was dating her BFF Selena Gomez. Second, Kanye and Justin share the same manager, Scooter Braun. Justin is currently vacationing in Hawaii. Early this morning, he posted of screenshot of himself FaceTiming with Kanye and Scooter, captioning it, “Taylor Swift what up.” Twitter went crazy nuts with some pretty great memes and #TaylorSwiftWhatUp.
