Weekend box office news… Dr. Phil hit a skateboarder… John Stamos announced his engagement… Normani Kordei has signed a solo deal… and Justin Timberlake will be performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show

He says as long as people keep paying to see him dress up like a woman, he’ll keep making Madea movies. So I guess we’ll be seeing more of that because Tyler Perry’s “Boo 2! A Madea Halloween” was number one this weekend, with $21.7 million. The movie cost $25 million to make so they’re close to breaking even already. But Gerard Butler’s new “Geostorm” ended up in second with $13.3 million, which is a big punch in the gut to producers. That thing cost $120 million to make! “Happy Death Day” dropped from first to third with $9.4 million.

TMZ is reporting that Dr. Phil hit a skateboarder with his Mercedes, and it looks like it’s his fault. They say Dr. Phil was apparently in a hurry when he was driving out of a parking lot near Universal Studios Friday morning. He was behind a van that wasn’t going anywhere, got impatient and pulled around…..only to hit a young man riding his skateboard in a crosswalk. Dr. Phil reportedly got out of his car to check on the guy, who immediately recognized him. The skateboarder told Dr. Phil he was fine, so they shook hands and Dr. Phil got back in his car and drove away. But a witness had called police and they showed up right after that, and the skateboarder said, Well……maybe I’m not so fine after all. He said his shoulder and his leg were hurting, so police called for an ambulance. Paramedics advised him to go to the hospital, but the man said he’d get it checked out on his own. LAPD took a report and they’re looking at surveillance video to determine fault. But TMZ is saying it doesn’t look good for Dr. Phil.

Uncle Jesse is getting married again! John is a HUGE Disney fan, and his rep told Good Morning America that he made a video with some of the most romantic moments from Disney and Pixar movies, and at the end, Sebastian from “The Little Mermaid” says, “Just ask the girl” to John. And he asked! And she said yes! John posted on Instagram, “…And they lived happily ever after.”

But with news that Normani Kordei has signed her own solo deal, could she be on her way out as well? And would all the fans now have the added pressure of being both the fourth AND fifth members of Fifth Harmony??

It was only a rumor until he said it was so, but Justin Timberlake has confirmed that he will be performing at the Super Bowl LII Pepsi Halftime Show on Feb. 4 in Minneapolis. He and his best friend Jimmy Fallon made the announcement in sorta kinda funny video yesterday. Justin has been in talks to do the halftime show since September. This is his third time doing the halftime show. His first time was way back in 2001 when he was still part of *N Sync, and they took part in MTV’s production with Britney Spears and Aerosmith. And then he was back in 2004 with Janet Jackson for the infamous “wardrobe malfunction.”
