Kanye West Apologizes To Drake

New “Law & Order: Hate Crimes” show… Jimmy Fallon picked up a strangers’ tab… Childish Gambino’s tour surprise… Kourtney Kardashian and Younes Bendjima update… and Kanye West apologizes to Drake

I know a lot of “Law & Order” addicts are going to be excited about this. NBC has ordered 13 episodes of “Law & Order: Hate Crimes.” This is based on the real-life NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force. One network exec said, “Considering that last year there was a double-digit rise in hate crimes in our 10 largest cities — the highest total in over a decade — it seemed like this topic is begging to be explored.” This news comes as “Law & Order: SVU” heads into its 20th season. Show creator Dick Wolf says, “Twenty years ago when SVU began, very few people felt comfortable coming forward and reporting these crimes, but when you bring the stories into people’s living rooms, a real dialogue can begin….As with all of my crime shows, I want to depict what’s really going on in our cities and shine a light on the wide-ranging victims and show that justice can prevail.” In addition to creating the “Law & Order” franchise — which now has six spin-offs with “Hate Crimes,” Dick has also given us “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.” and Chicago Med.

Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy were having dinner at this Italian restaurant in the Hamptons that they love and two couples at an adjacent table talking about whether or not they should walk over and say hello. According to the restaurant manager, “They were debating. I overheard the conversation when I walked by and they were saying, ‘Should we say hello? Should we let them have dinner and give them some privacy?’” The couples decided to leave Jimmy and Nancy in peace. Well, Jimmy apparently caught some of that conversation, too, and was so appreciative that they left him alone during dinner, that he picked up their $1136 tab!!

Childish Gambino kicks off his “This Is America” tour in Atlanta tomorrow night and he’s got a special gift for his fans. Anyone who buys tickets to a show will get two new Childish Gambino songs — “Algorhythm” and “All Night.” He said, “These songs are not complete, but it is important for u to be familiar with them in order to participate, and therefore fully enjoy the experience.” He’s also asking fans not to share these songs, because they are exclusively for the live show.

Are Kourtney Kardashian and Younes Bendjima back together or what? There are pictures of the two of them sitting in an SUV outside a sushi restaurant in Malibu — the first time they’ve been seen in public together since they broke up last month. But a source told Entertainment Tonight that they’ve actually remained in contact since the breakup, and the two of them got together to figure out where their relationship stands now and where it’s heading. But sources told TMZ that this was NOT the case. Younes set this whole thing up, inviting Kourtney to meet him and tipping off a photographer that they’d be there so he could extend his 15 minutes of fame.

Kanye West was up early this morning, tweeting out a long apology to Drake over this feud they’ve been having for the past few months. Kanye started with a compliment, posting a picture from Drake onstage in concert, saying, “I haven’t seen the show in person but the images look incredible online.” And then he tried to explain “where the confusion started.” First, Kanye apologize for stepping on Drake’s release date. Kanye’s “Ye” and Drake’s “Scorpion” came out in the same month. But then he wanted to clear up any confusion over this whole Pusha T drama where he released diss tracks against Drake and called him out for having a secret son. Kanye wanted to let Drake know that he didn’t give Pusha any information about his child because children are off limits — something he learned after his issues with Wiz Khalifa a few years earlier. But he explained all this was happening when he was “ramped up doing 25 tweets a day” and that “TMZ happened shortly after.” That explains a lot. Kanye ended his explanation and apologies with a final tweet: “This is all Jedi level. I will be coming to your show within the next seven days to give love and be inspired by the art you have created.” I wonder if he has to buy his own ticket?
