$100,000 bond for Rapper Sean Kingston… Movie news… Music happenings… iHeart Festival lineup… and Kanye West is being sued for sexual harassment…
Listen to “Showbiz – Jun 4, 2024” on Spreaker.
Sean Kingston is now being held on $100K bond in Florida. He was arrested over the weekend for 10 fraud and theft charges. At his bond hearing yesterday, a judge laid out ALL the charges against Sean, which include one count of grand theft greater than $20K, two counts of grand theft greater than $100K, and many others. He was also charged with violating his probation for a two-year sentence for trafficking stolen property. His mother Janice Turner has also been charged with a number of fraud and theft charges. She’s out on bail. Together, this mommy and son team are accused of ripping off all sorts of business owners for luxury cars, jewelry and custom furniture. It sounds like Sean learned it from his mama. Back in 2006, Janice pled guilty to bank fraud for stealing over $160k and served almost a year and a half in prison.

In casting news, Dua Lipa is in consideration to play Meg in the upcoming Disney live-action remake of Hercules! Previous rumors had Ariana Grande as a shoe-in for the role, within Taron Edgerton playing the Greek god Hercules. And with Jennifer Aniston producing a remake of the 1980 classic 9 to 5, Dolly Parton wants Jen to know she’s available. Dolly told E! News, “Years ago, when we did the movie Dumplin’, there was some mention she might want to do 9 to 5, and I said, ‘Oh, that would be great.’ I’m hoping they use my song, and I’m hoping they might find a way to have Lily, Jane and me come back in.” She’s referring, of course, to Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. In the original, three female secretaries decide to get revenge on their sexist boss by abducting him and running the business themselves. Their awful boss was played by Dabney Coleman, who died last month at the age of 92.
Dua Lipa is reportedly being eyed to play Meg in Disney’s ‘HERCULES’ live action film.

Kanye West’s former assistant is suing him for sexual harassment and wrongful termination. According to the court documents obtained by Page Six, Lauren Pisciotta says she started working with Kanye in July 2021, right when he was launching his Yeezy fashion line. She claims Kanye offered her $1M, but she had to be available to him 24/7. She agreed. At the same time, Lauren claims she was earning $1M a year from her OnlyFans. But in 2022, she claims Kanye asked her to be more “God like” and delete the account, promising he would double her salary to $2M to make up for the lost income. Lauren hit the delete button, but says Kanye never came through with that raise. But she said that’s when the vulgar text messages started, which she claims included photos and videos of Kanye getting busy with other women. There are other accusations too disgusting to share. But by September 2022, Lauren claims she was promoted to Chief of Staff over several of Kanye’s companies, which came with a $4M salary. However, she was fired a month later. She claims Kanye offered her $3M in severance, but again, he never paid her. Now she’s suing for all sorts of work related issues, including breach of contract and a hostile work environment.
