Coldplay is going on a stadium tour around the world and, thankfully, they’ve added a handful of dates here in the U.S. They kick things off in Buenos Aires on March 31 and spend the next three months popping all over Europe and South America. Finally on July 16, Coldplay plays MetLife Stadium in NY, then heads to Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, LA, and Dallas before wrapping things up in San Francisco. Rather than wait for the paparazzi to stalk his son until they get the first picture, Louis Tomlinson posted a photo of himself cradling his newborn son to his bare chest, captioning it, “Meet my little lad, Freddie.” Freddie’s mommy posted a photo of her holding her newborn, captioning hers, “1/21/16. Freddie Reign. Love of my life.” So that’s that! Those sources who said the baby was named Sydney Reign were only half right. And it looks like Freddie will have his daddy’s last name. A mutual friend of the new parents told “People” that the pregnancy was a surprise, but Louis and Briana are “very, very close friends and this has brought them even closer.”
Surprise! Tyra Banks is a mommy! She and her boyfriend, Norwegian photographer Erik Asla, welcomed their son to the world yesterday. Tyra has openly talked about her fertility struggles and the couple used a surrogate to have their child. Tyra made the announcement on her Instagram, posting a picture of a newborn baby’s cap and captioning it, “The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.” And another big announcement from Tyra — she’s replacing Ivanka Trump as an adviser on “Celebrity Apprentice,” which is now being hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Zayn Malik is gearing up for the release of his first single, “Pillow Talk,” tomorrow! In an interview with Apple Music’s Beats 1, Zayn was very honest about his time with One Direction, saying he never wanted to be there in the first place. After auditioning as a solo artist for Britain’s “The X Factor,” he was placed with four guys he didn’t know and suddenly they were this world famous group. Zayn said, “I just gave it a go because it was there at the time, and when I realized the direction that we were going in —mind the pun— with the music, I instantly realized it wasn’t for me…” Zayn said it was especially hard during song writing sessions, explaining, “In the early days it was crazy. There was like five of us sat in a room, trying to write a song. Now, how do you write a song from five people’s perspectives? You don’t know where you wanna take the music, what you wanna say. There’s none of that, so you kinda just go with whatever’s going on. And I just didn’t wanna be the person to say I was right, because who am I?” When he told the guys he was leaving One Direction, he said they didn’t want him to go, but knew they couldn’t talk him out of it at that point, so he just left.
After Kanye West decided to change the name of his album from “Swish” to “Waves,” Wiz Khalifa believed Kanye should’ve acknowledged a rapper who’s credited for making “wavy” raps before he was convicted of aggravated assault, felony kidnapping, armed robbery, and murder, for which he is currently serving 75 years. Wiz tweeted, “Max B is the wavy one. He created the wave. There is no wave without him.” Apparently, Kanye tweeted his respects to Max B and all seemed to be fine. But then Wiz tweeted, “Hit this kk and become yourself.” Not realizing Wiz was referring to marijuana, Kanye assumed Wiz was referring to his wife, Kim Kardashian, and went OFF. He accused Wiz of stealing from Kid Cudi…said his first single was corny…said he let a stripper (Amber Rose) trap him with a baby and that Kanye owned that child — WHAT?????? Amber then stepped in and revealed certain things Kanye likes in the bedroom. After it was finally pointed out to Kanye that Wiz was talking about pot, Kanye deleted his twitter rants and posted, “I’m happy that I now know that KK means weed…please excuse the confusion…now back to #WAVES.”
