Lindsay Lohan’s lawsuit thrown out… Serena Williams has a restaurant faux pas… Luke Pell’s big surprise… Rihanna got a new tattoo… and Kanye West’s “Famous” Sculpture Is Selling for $4 Million
A court has thrown out Lindsay Lohan’s lawsuit against the makers of Grand Theft Auto. She says their character “Lacey Jonas” looks an awfully lot like a picture of her from 2007. On top of that, players get to rescue “Lacey” from paparazzi. Lindsay said OBVIOUSLY this was her. But the court said Lindsay’s name was never used and the character doesn’t look THAT much like her, so the case was tossed.
Serena Williams and a group of friends showed up at Ricardo Steak House in East Harlem and the owner was so thrilled to have a tennis superstar in his establishment that he picked up the $400 tab. According to a source in the restaurant, not only did NO ONE in Serena’s group leave a tip, she left without even saying thank you!
We now know that Nick Viall is the new Bachelor, which came as a big surprise to fans, but an even bigger surprise to Luke Pell. He was a fan favorite during Bachelorette JoJo’s season and up until the 11th hour, the Bachelor gig was his. Luke says his bags were packed and he’d already checked in online for his flight to LA first thing Monday morning for the big announcement after “Bachelor in Paradise” later that night. But then………Luke said, “I got a call from producers Sunday night at about 10 p.m. They said ABC had decided to — quote-unquote — go in a different direction.” Luke was shocked by the decision, especially since he’d cleared his calendar for filming through November. But he says he’s just going to head back to his life in Nashville where he’s an entrepreneur and songwriter. He said, “I want to head back into taking control of my own destiny.” As far as Nick goes, he reportedly had no idea he was even being considered for the git until a couple of days before the announcement when ABC called him with an offer.
After all the speculation and the teasing back and forth, Drake professed on the VMA stage that he’s been in love with Rihanna since he was 22 and now she’s proving her love with what she does a lot … she got a tattoo. Rihanna went to her tattoo artist bestie Bang Bang to get a camouflage shark on her left ankle. Apparently, Drake took RiRi to the aquarium in his hometown of Toronto and bought her a stuffed camouflage shark as a souvenir. She’s been carrying it with her everywhere.
An art gallery in LA is hoping that Kanye West’s “Famous” sculpture will fetch four million dollars. The sculpture features 12 famous naked people including George W. Bush, Taylor Swift and Bill Cosby and it’s so lifelike that it looks like the characters are breathing in a deep sleep. One artist says he did the math in his head and it cost about $500K just to make this thing.
