Listen to “Showbiz – July 23, 2021” on Spreaker.

“Dancing With the Stars” is set to return in September and we should get a confirmed cast announcement soon. A source spoke to “OK! Magazine” about some of the celebrities rumored to be in negotiations. They include LeAnn Rimes, Fran Drescher, Luann de Lesseps from “Real Housewives of New York,” and Brian Austin Green, who is actually dating professional dancer Sharna Burgess. Since ABC likes to throw recent Bachelors or Bachelorettes on the show, there’s a chance will see Katie Thurston. But her predecessor Tayshia Adams has been expressing her interest in hitting the ballroom floor. There’s also been speculation that Tayshia’s fiance Zac Clark and former Bachelor Matt James could be up for consideration.

It’s been almost 20 years since the greatness of “The Surreal Life” debuted on what used to be known as the WB Network and then moved over to VH1. The premise of the show was to have random B-list (and lower) celebrities move into a house together and see what happened. This is the show that gave us such classic moments as a drunk and naked Verne “Mini Me” Troyer peeing in the corner of a room…Gary Coleman getting furious when Vanilla Ice picked him up….and how could we ever forget Brigitte Nielsen and Flavor Flav falling in love? The show ran for six seasons until VH1 pulled the plug, but the time has finally come for a seventh season, which debuts this fall. Cast members announced include Dennis Rodman, Frankie Muniz (“Malcolm in the Middle”) porn star Stormy Daniels, rapper August Alsina (aka, Jada Pinkett-Smith’s former lover), Kim Coles (“In Living Color”), Tamar Braxton, former WWE star C.J. “Lana” Perry, and YouTube star Manny MUA. We don’t have an exact premiere date but it should be coming this fall.

Mark your calendars for July 30! That’s when Billie Eilish drops her next album, “Happier Than Ever.” And then mark your calendars again for Sept. 3! That’s when Billie Eilish makes her Disney+ debut with her concert special, “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles.” The special was filmed at the Hollywood Bowl and will feature all 16 songs from her album, in order. There was no audience, but Billie will be joined onstage by some very special guests, including her brother Finneas, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus. The press release said the show will also feature animated elements that will take “viewers on a dreamlike journey through Billie’s hometown of Los Angeles and its most iconic backdrops.” But will it also feature some animated guests???? It is Disney, after all!

Live Nation is celebrating the “Return to Live” music by offering fans the chance to score $20 concert tickets. Yes, this includes taxes AND fees. There will be almost 1,000 shows to choose from at Live Nation venues across the country. Tickets go on sale to the public on Wednesday at LiveNation.com, but if you have T-Mobile or Sprint, you’ll have the chance to get yours a day earlier through the “T-Mobile Tuesdays” app. The Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, Alanis Morissette, Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Pitbull, Lil Baby, and Kings of Leon are just a few of the artists taking part in the $20 promotion.

After hosting his huge listening party in Atlanta last night, fans were expecting Kanye to drop his “Donda” album at midnight. They’re still waiting. No word from Kanye as to why. In true Kanye fashion, he showed up almost two hours late for his listening party, wearing some sort of semi-sheer head covering and and all red outfit from his highly-anticipated Yeezy x Gap collaboration. His soon-to-be-ex-wife Kim Kardashian was there to show her support, bringing their two oldest kids, North and Saint. Kanye reportedly gave Kim the heads up about his song “LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY,” which all about his failed marriage. In the track, Kanye raps, “I’m losing my family” over and over and his mother’s voice is featured, as well, repeating, “No matter what, you never abandon your family.” While his music played, Kanye walked around by himself at the center of the stadium, dancing, pacing, and performing without a mic. He received a standing ovation as he broke down with emotion. Among the featured artists on “Donda” are Pop Smoke, Travis Scott, Pusha T, Lil Baby and more. But the biggest surprise was hearing Jay-Z featured on the song “Jail.” In it, he raps, “This might be the return of The Throne/ Hova and Yeezy like Moses and Jesus.”
