Laine Hardy won “American Idol” back in 2019. On Thursday he tweeted a statement that he’d received an arrest warrant due to some allegations made about him and that he was fully cooperating with the LSU police department. He said, “I understand that my career has thrust me into the public spotlight, and I embrace that wholeheartedly as my entire world belongs to music and my fans. However, due to the sensitive nature of this allegation, I humbly ask for privacy at this time. I have the utmost respect for the law and will assist in their investigation as needed moving forward.” The next day, Laine turned himself in to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and now we know what for…Laine is accused of bugging his ex-girlfriend’s dorm room. He was arrested on the “charge of interception & disclosure of wire, electronic or oral communication.” Laine and this unidentified young woman dated from November 2021-February 2022. Back on April 7, she discovered a listening device in her dorm room and called the police. She told officers that she googled this thing and found out it was a VR-500 Voice Activated Recorder and she believed Laine was the one who put it in her room. Police said they could hear what sounded like Laine’s voice on a recording at the time he planted it. Other recordings included private conversations his ex had with her mom about breaking up with him. Despite his arrest, Laine’s performance at the “American Idol” 20th anniversary special still aired last night. It was recorded early in April, before this scandal came to light.

Justin Lin has directed five “Fast and Furious” movies, and was set to direct what is supposed to be the final installment, “Fast X.” However, Lin quit abruptly last week, no explanation given. However, a “source with knowledge” claims Lin left because Vin Diesel is just too difficult to work with. The source says Vin shows up late, he doesn’t know his lines, and he’s out of shape. Huh! Sounds a lot like what The Rock alluded to a few years back, doesn’t it? It was so bad The Rock said he’d never come back to do another “Fast and Furious” movie, and apparently, it’s still bad enough for Justin Lin to walk away from a reported $10M-$20M!

Johnny Depp’s lawyers are expected to rest after today’s testimony. Amber Heard could testify as early as tomorrow. But before she takes the stand, Amber’s lawyers will call a forensic psychologist who specializes in intimate partner violence to the stand. Their psychologist will attempt to undo the damage done to Amber’s case by the psychologist Johnny’s side brought to the stand last week. Yesterday, one of Johnny’s current security guards testified that he saw Amber punch Johnny in the face when they were married. He claims Johnny and Amber were having a normal conversation when things started to escalate. The guard claims he saw Amber throw a full can of Red Bull at Johnny, so he got between the two of them. The guard claims he blocked a purse Amber threw at Johnny and that she then tried to spit on him. Johnny retaliated by messing up Amber’s closet. That’s when the guard testified that as he stood between the couple, Amber’s fist came over his right shoulder and landed on the left side of Johnny’s face. He said both he and Johnny were shocked and that’s when he removed Johnny from the situation. The guard also denied that Johnny ever tried to grab Amber’s hair while trying to hit her, and he also denied that Johnny pushed Amber’s sister, which is why Amber claims she punched Johnny.

A jury has reached its verdict in Blac Chyna vs. the KarJenners. Chyna sued the family for $140M, claiming they’d defamed her and ruined her reality TV show career. After 10 hours of deliberation, the jury found Kim, Khloe, Kylie, and Kris not guilty on all counts of defamation, contract interference, and harming Chyna’s career. Before the verdict was read, the clerk asked the KarJenners’ lawyer where they were and the attorney said they were all in NYC “at some gala.” But Chyna was in the courtroom and sat there motionless as she was told she lost. Her attorney said they will appeal.

Yes, all the Kardashian and Jenner women were “at some gala” in NYC. The MET Gala. It’s the first time that all of them were invited. Some people had something to say about Kendall’s bleached eyebrows, while others questioned Kylie’s bridal/baseball look and yawned as they watched Kourtney make out with Travis AGAIN. But it was Kim Kardashian who attempted to steal the show by wearing Marilyn Monroe’s dress from the night she sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962. Kim revealed she had to lose 16 pounds in 3 weeks to fit into it, and she did! It actually looked like she had a little room to spare, as well. Interesting to note, while Kim was channeling JFK’s mistress, Kris Jenner was channeling JFK’s wife, Jackie Kennedy.
