In its second weekend of release, “Five Nights at Freddy’s” dropped a huge 76% at the box office, but did better than the studio and experts expected with another $19.4M. Globally, this movie has earned $217M so far, and that’s against a reported $20M budget! “Five Nights at Freddy’s” is also streaming on Peacock, where it broke the record for the biggest five-day debut of any Peacock title. “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” stayed in second place with another $13.5M in its fourth weekend of release. That movie has earned $231.1M globally against the estimated $15M-$20M Taylor put up to produce it. In third place with $7M was Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro. This movie had a $200M production budget. So far, it’s earned $52.3M here at home and it just crossed the $100M mark globally.

Netflix, Amazon, Lifetime, BET+, Disney Channel, Disney+, Great American Family, FOX Nation….they’re all giving us holiday movies his year, but it’s the Hallmark Channel that sets the bar with their Countdown to Christmas. They started airing Christmas movies before Halloween, but this past weekend and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 17, Hallmark is giving us a brand new Christmas or Hanukkah movie each one of those nights for a total of 40 brand new holiday movies, which you can also stream on Peacock! And since Candace Cameron Bure defected for Great American Family, Lacey Chabert reigns as the Queen of Hallmark. She starts in two brand new holiday movies this year.

BravoCon 2023 has come and gone! Among some of the highlights during the Vegas convention was hearing that some fan-favorite shows have already been renewed for new seasons in 2024. “Below Deck: Down Under” did so well during its first season on Peacock, it’s being moved over to Bravo for Season 2. “Below Deck: Mediterranean” has been renewed for Season 8, while “Below Deck: Sailing Yacht” will be back for Season 5. And “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” fans may be excited to hear that Erika Jayne is getting a 2-part spinoff based on her Vegas residency, “Bet It All on Blonde.”

Matthew Perrys friends and family gathered at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Friday for a private funeral service. The cemetery is very close to the Warner Bros. Studios, where “Friends” was filmed. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer were among the 20 or so people in attendance. Matthew’s parents and stepparents were there, along with his five half-siblings. Matthew’s parents separated when he was only one. His dad went on to have a daughter with his second wife, while his mom and her second husband Keith Morrison had four children together. Before he passed away, Matthew had talked about starting a non-profit to help people struggling with addiction. On Friday, the Matthew Perry Foundation was launched in his honor.

She debuted in Vegas on Dec. 29, 2021, and on Saturday, Katy Perry wrapped up her Vegas residency in front of a full house with a few famous faces. Katy’s neighbors Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hopped on a private plane with Cameron Diaz, her husband Benji Madden, and Zoe Saldana and flew to Vegas for the grand finale. Celine Dion was also in the crowd. She’s been laying real low since revealing she suffers from Stiff Person Syndrome. Katy’s fiancé Orlando Bloom brought their 3-year-old daughter Daisy Dove to see mommy do her final show. Katy introduced Daisy on the big screen, saying, “Daisy! I love you so much! You’re my best friend. I’m so glad you’re here.” After Daisy was put to bed, mommy and daddy headed across the street to the Wynn Las Vegas to party with The Chainsmokers.
