One of Nicki Minaj’s biggest fans is suing her for publicly humiliating him and labeling him as a mentally unstable stalker. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Tameer Peak claims that for the past 15 years, he has actively promoted Nicki’s work. But in 2017, Nicki went through what she called her “Nicki hate train” phase, and reportedly began accusing fans like Tameer of being paid moles sent to sabotage her career. Among his multiple complaints, Tameer claims Nicki invited him to her hotel, only to embarrass him in front of 100K viewers on Instagram Live. He also accuses Nicki of targeting him during a live session on Twitter — now X — where she allegedly implied that he was mentally unstable and called him “one sandwich short of a picnic.” Tameer also claims Nicki labeled him a stalker who impersonated members of her team, and these accusations made him look bad in front of other Barbz. So for the damage to his reputation, his emotional distress and financial losses, Tameer wants $5M. Nicki’s attorney told TMZ, “Mr. Peak has been harassing Nicki on social media for years on end to no avail. He has now graduated to seeking to shake her down financially with manifestly false allegations and legally frivolous claims. He will regret having gone down this disreputable road when he is forced to pay her legal fees as required by California law.”

Twenty-three-year-old Alix Earle is issuing a huge apology for her 13-year-old self, who made the poor decision to use the N-word in social media posts. These comments were actually posted on a Reddit thread a couple years ago, but screenshots resurfaced online earlier this month. Yesterday, Alix posted on her Instagram Story, “A couple of weeks ago, screenshots surfaced from my old ask.fm account showing me using a slur in the summer of 2014, I am taking accountability and want to make it clear that I was 13 years old and did not understand the deeply offensive meaning behind that word. That is no excuse for using that word in any context or at any age. That is absolutely not the way I speak or what I stand for.
I am deeply sorry that my words have hurt many and have led people to believe that I have any prejudice in my heart. I promise you that could not be further from the truth. My platform has always focused on positivity, entertainment, and uplifting others, and will continue to do so. I am sincerely sorry to those I have offended.
I regret how I handled this situation, allowing too many people to talk me out of saying something for too long. I wasn’t sure how to handle it and unfortunately the advice I was given, although well intended, was wrong. There is no one to blame but myself for not standing my ground and going with my gut to speak out right away.
In the absence of addressing this, my silence allowed others to fill the void with rumors that simply aren’t true. One rumor in particular is that I tried to trademark my old posts, which is absolutely ridiculous and untrue. Another is that a brand announced they are no longer working with me, even though we have never been in conversations with them about a partnership in any capacity.
Regardless of what’s being said online, I wanted to come on here to address the facts and most importantly apologize.”

Mariah Carey released a statement yesterday saying, “My heart is broken that I’ve lost my mother this past weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day. I feel blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mom before she passed. I appreciate everyone’s love and support and respect for my privacy during this impossible time.” Mariah’s mother Patricia was married to Alfred Roy Carey, and they had three children together. They divorced when Mariah was 3. Despite their extremely complicated relationship, Mariah always loved her mother and realized she did the best she could, which is how she was able to keep some sort of connection with her over the years. In her 2o20 memoir, Mariah wrote, “Ours is a story of betrayal and beauty. I’ve emancipated myself from bondage several times, but there is a cloud of sadness that I suspect will always hang over me, not simply because of my mother but because of our complicated journey together … Our relationship is a prickly rope of pride, pain, shame, gratitude, jealousy, admiration and disappointment. A complicated love tethers my heart to my mother’s.” Mariah’s sister is another story. For 30 years, Mariah has had no relationship with her 63-year-old sister Alison, a recovering drug addict who was terminally ill and lived her last 3 weeks in hospice.
