Host Kelly Clarkson & Top Winners

Weekend box office news… Chrissy Teigen baby details… John Cena and Nikki Bella spotted together… Normani & Camila Cabello reunite backstage… and Billboard Music Awards 2018 winners

“Deadpool 2” earned $125 million in its debut weekend — not quite as big as the original, which opened with $132.4 million — but it was enough to knock “Avengers: Infinity War” down to second with $29 million. “Book Club” debuted in third with $12.3 million.

Chrissy Teigen revealed her baby’s name on Instagram — Miles Theodore Stephens — along with a photo of his sweet little sleeping face. On the red carpet of the Billboard Music Awards, John Legend explained the meaning behind his children’s names. He said, “We named our first daughter Luna Simone Stephens and every name we give to our kids I think will have a little bit of musical history to it. So Miles of course is the same name as the great Miles Davis and Chrissy really liked the name Theodore, so we put it all together…” Luna’s middle name, Simone, is in honor of the late singer, Nina Simone.

John Cena’s public humiliation campaign seems to be working! They’re not officially back on YET, but he and Nikki Bella were seen going for coffee and walking around the streets of San Diego over the weekend. Even though he’s said he doesn’t want to have kids, apparently Nikki calling off the wedding has caused John to have a change of heart about that.

Harmonizers and Camilizers were squealing with joy when they saw Normani Kordei and Camila Cabello posing and smiling together backstage at the Billboard Music Awards. This is the first time these two have gotten together — publicly, at least — since Camila left Fifth Harmony in a huff back in December 2016. And now fans have created a new couple’s nickname for Normani and Camila — Normila.

The Billboard Music Awards were held last night in Las Vegas, and Kelly Clarkson did a fabulous job hosting! Ariana Grande opened with her new song, “No Tears Left to Cry. Khalid and Shawn Mendes performed their song “Youth” with students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Camila Cabello and Pharrell performed their new song, “Sangria Wine.” It was nice to see Taylor Swift on a red carpet again. She’d been MIA for over two years! She ended up winning to golden microphones — Top Selling Album for “Reputation” and Top Female Album. And Janet Jackson gave a beautiful acceptance speech when she picked up the Icon Award. Among the other winners, Top Artist went to Ed Sheeran and Top New Artist to Khalid.
