The nominations for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards were announced yesterday. Fans can vote in eight categories, including Best Video with a Message and Best Push Artist. Yes, I had to google that. You can vote more than once, but you have to wait a few hours in between. Cardi B leads with 10 nominations, including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year and Best New Artist. And up for the big one — Video of the Year — are “No Tears Left to Cry” by Ariana Grande, “Finesse (Remix)” by Bruno Mars ft. Cardi B, “Havana” by Camila Cabello ft. Young Thug, “APES**T” by The Carters, “This is America” by Childish Gambino, and “God’s Plan” by Drake. The Moon Men will be handed out at Radio City Music Hall on August 20.

Johnny Depp was suing his former managers for $25 million and they were all set to go to trial next month, but the parties have reached a settlement. We don’t know the details of the settlement, but we do know the details from the lawsuit. Johnny says he trusted The Management Group to handle his finances, only to mismanage his money to the point where he was close to bankruptcy. The Management Group filed a countersuit claiming Johnny is irresponsible with his spending and brought all this on himself. They listed several examples of his frivolous spending, including paying to blast Hunter S. Thompson’s ashes from a cannon and his $30K a month wine habit. Actually, Johnny told Rolling Stone that the $30K figure was insulting because it was actually far more than that!

Pete Davidson’s father was a firefighter who died in 9/11. When Ariana Grande was spotted wearing his dad’s pendant, somebody commented that it was disrespectful. But Pete stood up for his woman, saying this wasn’t some random girl. This is his fiancé! He said, “I gave it to her because she has my heart and that is the most precious thing I own. My dad would be so happy and love her so much.” But then someone pointed out that his ex-girlfriend Cazzie David was wearing the same necklace, and Pete decided to clear that up. He said the one Cazzie wore was a replica. He said he actually had a bunch of them made and gave one to his sister, his grandfather and his then-girlfriend. But he said, “The one that Ari has is the one my dad actually died in and the he wore his entire career and the one I’ve worn for over 17 years. I’ve actually never taken it off other for SNL or work. So it means a lot to me.”

She’s working hard, he’s working hard. You can’t just earn trust back in two months.” But she said if Khloe’s family had their way, “Tristan would just be the baby daddy.” She said, “They’re not okay with this. This guy not only cheated on her, it was on video and the world saw it. And she was humiliated. But she’s choosing to stay.” But Lisa also added that they would never make it down the aisle.
