Steven Spielberg is arguably the biggest, best, and most influential movie director in history. He is such a believer in the traditional movie going experience that a few years ago he tried to get the Oscars to ban movies from streaming services to earn Oscar nominations. He was not successful. Apparently, he’s changed his tune. Yesterday, it was announced his production company, Amblin, has entered into a giant deal with Netflix. Under the new deal, Amblin will produce two movies a year for Netflix, for an unspecified number of years. No word on if he will direct any of the movies, but it is possible. No word on how much the deal is worth, but it is safe to say it is a lot. This could start a huge shift in Hollywood since there are still heavy hitters that will not work for a streaming service. Plus, this is a huge win for Netflix in the streaming wars.

Several A-listers are teaming up to create a new arts school for underserved youth in LA. The founding members include George Clooney, Kerry Washington, Don Cheadle, Eva Longoria, Mindy Kaling, and several others. These celebrities are working with the LA Unified School District to establish The Roybal School of Film and Television Production. It’s a magnet school for high schoolers hoping to work in the entertainment industry and is set to open in the fall of 2022. George Clooney said, “Our aim is to better reflect the diversity of our country. That means starting early…It means internships that lead to well-paying careers. It means understanding that we’re all in this together.”

Chris Brown is under investigation for battery. A woman claims she was at Chris’ home in the San Fernando Valley this past weekend when Chris smacked the back of her head so hard that her weave came off. We don’t know any details about what led to this alleged incident, but so far, no arrests have been made.

Billie Eilish took a few days to choose her words, but she has finally apologized for a spliced-together video posted on TikTok last week that showed her using a racist slur for Asians and mocking their accents. Billie posted a long apology on her IG Story, explaining that this video was from about 5 years ago when she was around 13 or 14 years old. She wrote, “I mouthed a word from a song that at the time I didn’t know was a derogatory term used against members of the Asian community. I am appalled and embarrassed and want to barf that I ever mouthed along to that word.” The song she was mouthing along to was “Fish” by Tyler, the Creator. But when this song was released in 2011, nobody seemed to have a problem with him using the slur in his lyrics. And Billie said the only time she had ever heard that word was in Tyler, the Creator’s song, and she had no clue what it meant. She also said she was NOT mocking Asian accents. Billie said she was simply speaking in a language she made up to talk to her pets, friends and family. But, she said, “Regardless of how it was interpreted, I did not mean for any of my actions to have caused hurt to others and it absolutely breaks my heart that it is being labeled now in a way that might cause pain to people hearing it.”

Even though sources say Tristan Thompson bent over backwards to prove his loyalty, Khloe Kardashian just couldn’t get past her trust issues. Their relationship is over. Again. While news of the breakup comes right after Tristan went to a party for Drake’s bodyguard and was allegedly seen coming out of a bedroom with three women looking all disheveled, sources told E! News that Khloe and Tristan actually broke up a few weeks ago. He was even telling people at the party he was single.
