The Grammys want to give more artists a chance to win, so they’re expanding the number of nominations for the four biggest categories — Record, Song and Album of the Year and Best New Artist. Instead of five nominations, now they’ll have eight. The Recording Academy believes this will give voters greater flexibility when it comes to who they want to see on the ballot, hopefully giving more women a shot at winning. Grammy President Neil Portnow is stepping down after more than a decade in the position after his comments about female musicians needing to “step up” if they want more recognition. Yeah. That didn’t go over too well.

The patriarch of the Jackson family has passed away. Joe Jackson was 89. He was suffering from pancreatic cancer. His family nicknamed him “The Hawk,” and several of his grandchildren referred to him by that when they posted their thoughts on social media. Paris Jackson described how her final moments with her grandfather were “everything,” saying, “Being able to tell you everything i needed to tell you before saying goodbye was such a blessing…. You are the first true jackson. the legend that started it all. none of us would be anywhere near where we’re at if it weren’t for you.” Joe Jackson died two days after the ninth anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death.

On Megyn Kelly’s show yesterday, former Scientologist Brendan Tighe talked a lot about the Church and Tom Cruise. Brendan left the church six years ago, but says he worked as a security guard who had direct contact with celebrity members. At one point, Brendan says he saw Tom Cruise every day for about 3 months at a time. He said every time Tom would show up, so would the dentist. Apparently, if you were part of anything to do with Tom, you had to have your teeth whitened. Brendan also says that when Tom and Nicole Kidman divorced in 2001, he accidentally saw a report with a list of women’s names who were going to “audition” to be Tom’s next girlfriend. The only name he recognized? Scarlett Johansson. Scarlett says, WHOA. That didn’t happen. She released a statement saying, “The very idea of any person auditioning to be in a relationship is so demeaning. I refuse for anyone to spread the idea that I lack the integrity to choose my own relationships.”

Kendall Jenner’s relationship with Ben Simmons may be way more serious than we thought, or people don’t take living together as seriously as they once did. Either way, sources say Kendall and Ben are living together in a $25K/month rental in LA while the Beverly Hills home she bought from Charlie Sheen is being customized to her liking/fumigated.

It was Khloe’s birthday but Kim is the one who got a gift! Remember when Kim was on Ellen Degeneres talking about how “messed up” Khloe’s relationship was with Tristan Thompson? Tristan didn’t like that one bit and blocked her. Now that Khloe has made it clear she’s forgiving Tristan for cheating and moving forward, Kim is supporting her sister’s decision. She posted a picture of her and Khloe and their babies, Chi and True, captioning it, “This year you have shown strength like none other. I admire you for always following your heart.” And then at Khloe’s party, she goes live with Tristan and asks her followers, “Alright guys, so, what do you think? It’s Khloe’s birthday, do you think I should ask this guy to unblock me?” And Tristan said, “For Khloe’s birthday, I think it’s only right.” And then Kim jokes about how Khloe should try to find out his passcode and Tristan said, “She knows it.”
