Garry Shandling dies at 66… 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards… Shemar Moore written off of “Criminal Minds”… Are Patrick Dempsey and wife trying for a baby?… and Kim Kardashian tells Justin Bieber to “stop playing with Kourtney’s emotions”

Comedian Garry Shandling died suddenly yesterday from a massive heart attack. He was 66. Reportedly, Garry wasn’t feeling well the night before he died and called a doctor friend who came over to his house and checked him out. According to TMZ, Garry was complaining about feeling achy and suffering from shortness of breath, but he didn’t say anything about chest pains. The doctor said if Garry wasn’t feeling better the next day, he should go to the hospital and get checked out. But the next morning, Garry called 911 and while he was on the phone, he passed out. Paramedics broke down his door and rushed him to the hospital. He was still alive when he got there, but did not survive.

The nominations for the 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards have been announced. Unfortunately, you’ll just have to read about who wins because nobody wants to broadcast the ceremony, which is being held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites in LA on May 1st. I think every remaining soap opera is nominated for Outstanding Drama Series — The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless. Is there another one I’m not thinking of? Up for Outstanding Game Show are Jeopardy, Let’s Make A Deal, Monopoly Millionaires’ Club, The Price Is Right and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. The Chew, The Dr. Oz Show, Larry King Now, The Doctors and The Kitchen are all nominated for Outstanding Talk Show/Informative. And Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment nominees are The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Wendy Williams Show, The Real, The View and The Talk.

I saw Jenna’s reaction when she read online that Shemar Moore was written off of “Criminal Minds.” It wasn’t pretty. After playing Special Agent Derek Morgan for the past 11 seasons, Shemar has decided to move on. He told TV Line that he needs needs more balance in his life. He explained, “I love what I do for a living. I love it from ‘action’ to ‘cut.’ But I also want to walk my dogs, travel, get married, have kids. I want balance, and it’s hard to do with the schedule that we have.” Shemar says he also wants to see what else he’s capable of doing. He said he did “The Young and the Restless” for eight years, which was like high school. He did eleven years on “Criminal Minds,” which was like college. Now, Shemar says he’s ready for grad school. He said, “I’m not leaving to go be a big star. I’m not leaving to go make a bunch of money. I’m leaving because I just creatively want to be fueled and I’m excited to try new things and see what else I’m capable of.”

RadarOnline.com is reporting that Patrick Dempsey and his wife Jillian Fink not only decided to throw their divorce papers out the window, they’re trying for a baby! At the beginning of 2015, Jillian filed for divorce after 15 years of marriage. But the couple reconciled and, apparently, things are going so well that they’re trying for another baby! One of the couple’s “friends” told Radar, “They’re very excited about the possibility of baby number four and have agreed to start trying for another child before summer arrives.”

We’re not real sure where Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez stand as a couple, but that doesn’t concern Kim Kardashian. She was more upset that her sister Kourtney went to Justin’s concert in LA the other night and Justin didn’t pay her any attention because — duh — Selena was there. HollywoodLife.com is reporting that Kim pulled Justin aside and told him flat out to stop playing with Kourtney’s emotions. She reportedly told him that Kourtney has been through enough with Scott Disick and the last thing she needs is to be tangled up in another love triangle. Somebody must’ve been eavesdropping real good because they say Kim asked Justin if he knew what the word “vulnerable” means and he said no. She told him that his homework assignment was to look that word up, understand the meaning, and to think of Kourtney when he reads that definition because that’s where she’s at in her life right now.
