Weekend box office news… The BET Awards… “Catfish” cameras are rolling again… Adele working on a new album… and Kit Harington and Rose Leslie were married

No surprise that “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” debuted in first place at the box office, taking in $150 million its opening weekend. Worldwide, it’s already grossed just over $711 million. Second place went to “Incredibles 2” with $81.9 million. “Ocean’s 8” was third with $11.7 million.

Jamie Foxx hosted the BET Awards last night. Among the winners, Kendrick Lamar won Album of the Year for “DAMN.” Bruno Mars and Beyonce won Best Male and Female R&B/Pop Artists while Kendrick Lamar and Cardi B won Best Male and Female Hip Hop Artists. Migos won Best Group and SZA won Best New Artist. In the acting categories, Tiffany Haddish and Chadwick Boseman were the big winners. Best Movie was “Black Panther.” And Serena Williams and LeBron James won Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year.

MTV shut down production on “Catfish” last month when a woman who appeared on the show three years ago posted a video claiming Nev Schulman sexually harassed her during her episode’s production. Everybody who knows and works with Nev said this absolutely did not happen and that this woman was just making this claim to get more subscribers to her YouTube channel. This woman never filed a formal complaint, but in light of the current climate, MTV decided to shut things down while they investigated. And now “Catfish” cameras are rolling again. MTV released a statement saying, “The independent investigator found the allegations made in the YouTube videos to be not credible and without merit.”

Adele fans, rejoice! She has started work on a new album! It’s going to be a minute before we get to hear it. She’s working towards a Christmas 2019 release date. But Adele has already had important meetings at Sony’s London headquarters and will spend the summer focused on writing. One source says she’s already written some of the songs and a number of studio musicians have been approached to work with her.

Celebrity love update! They played a couple on “Game of Thrones” and now Jon Snow and Ygritte are married in real life! Kit Harington and Rose Leslie were married Saturday at her family’s castle in Scotland. Guests included other GOT co-stars Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Emilia Clarke and Sophie Turner, who may have been getting a few ideas for her upcoming wedding with Joe Jonas. Speaking of Joe, his brother Nick is all googly-eyed over Priyanka Chopra. Literally. He posted a picture of her on his Instagram Story and captioned it “Her” with that heart eyes emoji. These two lovebirds are vacationing together in Mumbai, India, so Nick could meet Priyanka’s mother! Things are getting serious, y’all!
