People are in the mood to be scared! Daniel Craig’s last spin as James Bond in “No Time to Die” has been bumped to second place in its second weekend of release. “Halloween Kills” debuted in first place with $50.3M, which was exactly what experts predicted. It’s also available on Peacock, if you want to stay home and be scared there. “No Time to Die” opened with $56M and earned another $24.3M in its second week, good enough for second place. Third went to “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” with $16.5M. “The Addams Family 2” was fourth with $7.1M, and “The Last Duel” bombed in its opening weekend with $4.8M and a fifth place finish. But Ben Affleck gets to make out with Jennifer Lopez so he’s still winning.

Last week, DC announced that the new Superman in their comics is bisexual, but that’s not the only change. DC is changing Superman’s 81-year-old iconic motto. Instead of fighting for “Truth! Justice! And the American way!” Superman will now fight for “Truth! Justice! And a better tomorrow.” DC’s Chief Creative Officer said they’re changing the motto “to better reflect the storylines that we are telling across DC and to honor Superman’s incredible legacy…Superman has long been a symbol of hope who inspires people, and it is that optimism and hope that powers him forward with this new mission statement.” Why drop “American way”? He didn’t say. But a lot of people aren’t happy.

Who are we to judge, but we’re going to judge. Yes, it’s too early to put up your Christmas tree. But we’re going to give Britney Spears a pass. She posted a photo of her elegant tree and in the caption, she got a lot of her chest. She wrote, “I’ll just be honest and say I’ve waited so long to be free from the situation I’m in … and now that it’s here I’m scared to do anything because I’m afraid I’ll make a mistake !!! For so many years I was always told if I succeeded at things, it could end … and it never did !!! I worked so hard but now that it’s here and getting closer and closer to ending I’m very happy but there’s a lot of things that scare me 😬 !!! The paps run through the trees 🌳 and onto the road 🛣 when I drive home and it’s creepy !!!! And I have to drive by an elementary school … the kids are a big deal … but so am I !!!!! I don’t like that they try to scare me and jump out like they do … it’s like they want me to do something crazy 🤷🏼♀️ !!! I won’t be posting as much in a world where it’s our liberty to be free, it’s a shame !!! I’m disgusted with the system and wish I lived in another country !!! Can you believe it has been nearly three years since Jussie Smollett claimed he was attacked by MAGA-hat wearing thugs while out at 2am getting a Subway sandwich? Last week, a judge in Chicago denied Jussie’s final motion to dismiss his charges, and that means he’s headed to trial. Jury selection starts November 29th. In January 2019, Jussie told police he was the victim of a hate crime after two white guys beat him up, poured bleach on him, and tied a noose around his neck. After a quick investigation, police found he was lying and set the whole thing up himself.. He was arrested for making a false police report, but the charges were dropped after he paid a $10K fine and completed community service. But in February 2020, a special prosecutor charged him with six counts of making four false police reports. Jussie’s legal team has been arguing this is double jeopardy and that Jussie has held up his end of the bargain by paying the fine and completing community service.

Somebody check on Scott Disick. Kourtney Kardashian is engaged to Travis Barker. Even though they’ve only been dating since the beginning of the year, they’ve been flirty friends for years. After Travis performed on SNL Saturday night, he and Kourtney flew back to the West Coast. Jet-lagged or not, Travis was on a mission. He took Kourtney to the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel in Montecito and walked her out to the beach where there was a huge setup of red roses and white candles. When they got to the middle, Travis dropped down on one knee to propose with a gigantic oval ring and Kourtney said yes. Their family was waiting to celebrate over dinner. Both of Travis’ kids posted videos of the newly engaged couple making out non-stop. You can see a camera crew in the background, so this is obviously being filmed for the reimagined “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” for Hulu.
