Whoopi Goldberg returns to “The View”… Kobe Bryant and baby #3… Taylor Swift visits children’s hospital… Selena Gomez is most liked…and Lamar Odom kicked off flight after vomiting on plane
Much to my surprise, Whoopi Goldberg is staying with “The View” for at least another year. She tweeted, “I have re-upped for 1 year returning to @TheView 4 the 2016/2017 season. Will continue 2 annoy some, delight others.” Whoopi’s the first one on the panel to confirm she’ll be back this fall. We found out last month that Michelle Collins was fired after just one season.
Kobe and Vanessa Bryant are expecting baby number three. Vanessa broke the news on Instagram, posting a onesie and a pair of baby sneakers and captioning it, “Beyond blessed and excited to share that we are expecting our third baby girl!!! #blessed #babymama #thankful.” The couples’ older daughters, Natalia Diamante and Gianna Maria-Onore, are now 13 and 10. By the way, Kobe will be honored at the ESPY Awards tonight. Justin Timberlake is presenting him with the Icon Award.
Taylor Swift followed Tom Hiddleston to Australia where he’s filming “Thor: Ragnarok.” She decided to spread a little of her Taylor Swiftness and made a surprise visit to a children’s hospital in South Brisbane. The hospital thanked Taylor on their Facebook page, posting that the kids will never “shake off” the memories she gave them.
Selena Gomez is NOT the Queen of Selfies. That’s our very own Elena Davies. However, Selena IS the Queen of Instagram! Not only is she the most followed person on IG — she has 89 million followers — she now has set the record for the most liked IG picture ever. Selena has so far racked up 4.1 million likes for a picture of her drinking a Coke with “You’re the Spark” on the bottle. She captioned it, “When your lyrics are on the bottle.” Selena’s BFF Taylor Swift is the second most popular person in IG with 85 million followers, followed by Ariana Grande with 78 million, Beyonce’s 77 million, and Kim Kardashian’s 76 million.
Lamar Odom was kicked off a Delta flight from LA to NYC Monday night after he got drunk and threw up on the plane. Witnesses say they saw him in the airport lounge before the flight, knocking back a variety of adult alcohol treats. Then after he was seated in first class, Lamar puked. According to fellow passengers, he jumped up and ran to the bathroom where he continued to throw up with the door open. He sat back down in his seat covered with puke on his clothes. Flight attendants asked Mr. Odom to please step off the plane while a cleaning crew came in to take care of the mess. But then Lamar got back on the plane, and then got up to walk back to the bathroom while steadying himself on passengers’ heads. After a complaint by a fellow passenger, Mr. Odom was asked for a second time to please leave the plane and this time, they took off without him.
