Ed Sheeran is expanding his brand… Weekend movies… “The Kardashians” SPOILER… Matthew Perry wrote a book… and Lana Del Rey loses music
Listen to “Showbiz – Oct 20, 2022” on Spreaker.
Ed Sheeran isn’t just a singer/songwriter. He also has a lot of business interests, including his own management company, ownership in a London pub and selling art. But Ed told “The Mirror” that he’s thinking of expanding his brand by releasing his own line of sunscreen made specifically for fair-skinned gingers. And Ed’s best marketing? Himself! Ed said — joking, of course — “You would buy sunscreen if my face was on it because you’d be like, ‘He definitely knows what he’s talking about’ if you were going to a hot country and you needed Factor 70.”

If you haven’t watched today’s episode of “The Kardashians” now streaming on Hulu, sorry! There are a couple spoilers here, but it’s all over the internet. Kris had to have hip replacement surgery and even though things went well, she thought it would be a good idea to revisit her final requests. On a phone call with Kylie, Kris said Kim asked the doctor to save her mom’s bones so she could make jewelry out of them. Kris though that was creepy. But then Khloe reminded Kris that she once thought about being cremated and then having the ashes turned into necklaces for all her children to wear. Kris still thinks that’s a great idea, but Khloe thought it was weird. Khloe also says the Bible says we can’t be cremated, but she still wants to. (Does it say that?) In her confessional, Khloe says these types of conversations are very common in their family. She said, “We talk about wills, death…we tell each other what our wishes would be if something terrible were to happen. If I’m in a coma, I’m still getting my nails done once a week and that’s in my will because people are gonna visit me.”

Matthew Perry wrote a book, y’all! Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir comes out Nov. 1. Matthew talked to “People” magazine about some of what he reveals in the book, including the fact that just a few years ago, doctors only gave him a 2% chance to live! In 2019, Matthew’s opioid addiction caused such severe constipation that his colon burst. Before being rushed into surgery, doctors told Matthew he had that 2% chance of making it. When he woke up in the recovery room, Matthew looked down to find he was wearing a colostomy bag. Doctors told him that he was such a mess on the inside, they couldn’t perform surgery. But after about a year wearing the colostomy bag, they could reverse it. This is what finally led to Matthew kicking his addiction. He told “People” that for the next year, his therapist kept reminding him, “The next time you think about taking OxyContin, just think about having a colostomy bag for the rest of your life. And a little window opened, and I crawled through it, and I no longer want OxyContin.”
Matthew Perry revealed he spent two weeks in a coma and five months in the hospital in 2018. When he was admitted, he said, “the doctors told my family that I had a two percent chance to live.” https://t.co/4ka2XCSXfI

Lana Del Rey is begging fans not to listen to leaked music because it was accessed by thieves. In a since-deleted Instagram Live, Lana explained, “A few months ago, I parked my car on Melrose Place — actually Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles — and I stepped away for a minute. And the one time I left my backpack inside my car, someone broke all the windows and took it. And inside of it was my computer and my three camcorders and my hard drives.” At the time of the car break-in, Lana was in the process of writing a book. She said, “I had to remotely wipe the computer that had my 200-page book for Simon and Schuster, which I didn’t have backed up on the cloud. And despite that, people are still able to remotely access my phone and leak our songs and personal photos…” Not only was her book on the laptop, so was Lana’s music for her upcoming ninth studio album. Lana is asking her fans, “Please don’t listen to the music if you hear it, because it’s not coming out yet. Obviously I won’t ever leave anything in the car again, even if it’s just for a moment. But we’ve had the same issues at the house, and it is a constant thing. And although I’m so grateful to be able to share all of the good stuff, I just also want to share that it has been a challenge.”
