Listen to “Showbiz – Apr 14, 2023” on Spreaker.
The “2023 TIME 100” has been unveiled. This is Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Among those on this year’s list are Colin Farrell, Angela Bassett, Brittney Griner, and Judy Blume, who wrote the book that the upcoming movie “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret” is based. That comes out April 28. The “TIME 100” issue will have four different worldwide covers highlighting people who’ve made the list: Jennifer Coolidge, Doja Cat, Disney CEO Bob Iger, and Michael B. Jordan. And on April 30, Jennifer Coolidge will host a primetime special featuring performances by Doja Cat and Lea Michele. You can watch it on ABC, Hulu or Disney+.

So you can’t make it to Coachella. That’s okay. You can get dressed up in your Coachella-inspired outfit and park it in front of your laptop all weekend to watch the live stream on Coachella’s YouTube channel. In addition to the performances, you’ll also be able to buy merch exclusive to the live streamers. There will also be some behind-the-scenes content featuring artists, creators and fans on YouTube Shorts. It all kicks off tonight at 7pm ET/4pm PT. Frank Ocean, Bad Bunny and BLACKPINK are headliners. Other performers include Rosalía, Gorillaz, Blondie, Becky G, Pusha T, Charlie XCX, Kid Laroi, Bjork, and Uncle Waffles. At the last minute we found out Blink-182 will reunite on stage tonight at Coachella. I read they’ll be on the Sahara stage at 6:45pm, and we assume that’s PT. We don’t know if they’ll play both weekends of the music festival.
For the first time, YouTube will be streaming live from all stages of #Coachella with six separate livestreams. https://t.co/4hUlKDwsFK

Yesterday the Daytona Beach Police Department posted on their Facebook page that people in that area should be on the lookout for Drake Bell. The message said, “He should be traveling in a 2022 grey BMW and his last known location is potentially the area of Mainland High School on 4/12/2023 just before 9 p.m. He is considered missing and endangered.” This morning, we woke up to news that Drake had been located and he was safe. Drake addressed it himself, tweeting, “You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer for the night and this?” with a crying laughing emoji. There must have been a good reason authorities didn’t wait the standard 24 hours to declare someone missing. Drake has not been having the easiest time lately. In early January, he and his wife announced they were splitting weeks after Drake was photographed inhaling balloons in his car with his toddler son asleep in the backseat. He’s still finishing up his 2 years probation after a woman accused Drake of grooming her from the age of 12 before sexually abusing her at the age of 15.
Drake Bell has been found safe after Florida authorities declared him missing. The actor was in touch with police officers and wasn’t in danger, a Daytona Beach Police Department spokesman said in an email, without providing further details. https://t.co/2OlYH6KiOF

Page Six is reporting that Britney Spears’ memoir will be out this fall. She’s been working on this with ghostwriter Sam Lansky, who is a highly respected novelist and journalist. Publishing insiders say the manuscript is “inspiring” and that this will be a “groundbreaking instant best-seller.” They say Britney covers everything, including her breakup with Justin Timberlake and that night she shaved her head and attacked paparazzi with an umbrella. One source told Page Six, “There are parts of this book that every person—particularly every woman—can relate to and feel less alone…This is an inspiring read, not only because it shows the strength of Britney’s spirit, but because her story is told with such style, wit, intelligence, honesty, and without any self-pity…This book will….shake the world.”

Rumors are running wild that ALL members of One Direction — including Zayn Malik — will reunite for James Corden’s final episode of “The Late Late Show.” Remember, they never officially broke up. They’ve just been taking a break since 2016.
The show tweeted a screenshot of a news article that said, “One Direction to reunite in FULL for the first time in 8 years for James Corden’s last ever Late Late Show” with a great big “FALSE ALARM” stamped on it. They explained, “Nobody loves the boys more than us … but this story just isn’t true. What is true is we’ve got an absolutely brilliant 2 hour finale planned to celebrate 8 years of #LateLateShow at 10pm on April 27th.” Are they just trying to throw us off because somebody leaked the big surprise? We have to wait a couple more weeks to find out!
