Lauer’s Statement Following Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Aaron Carter finished rehab… Marvel Studios’ 7,000 characters…. Selena posted a teary-eyed pic… Jay-Z admits to cheating… and Matt Lauer has issued a statement

Aaron Carter has finished a two-month stint in rehab. Back in July, Aaron was arrested for driving under the influence and went on the TV show “The Doctors” to address rumors about his health. They convinced him that his life was at risk and he checked himself into treatment in September “to improve his health and work on his overall wellness.” He managed to put on more than 45 pounds and he’s doing SO much better. He’s hired a new publicist — who’s actually an old publicist who worked with Aaron between the ages of 9 and 16 — says Aaron is looking forward to making some great music in 2018. And Aaron posted a picture of himself back in the recording studio.

Back in the lab.

Marvel Studios has the rights to 7000 characters, and they plan to use them! The president of Marvel Studios says they have another 20 movies in the works!! By the way, the third Avengers movie — “Avengers Infinity War” — hits theaters in May of next year, but the contracts for Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Scarlett Johansson are all set to run out after the last Avengers movie is released in 2019.

So The Weeknd deleted all traces of Selena Gomez from his Instagram, but so far, she’s left his pictures on her IG wall. Now a lot of people assume the teary-eyed picture she posted yesterday and captioned “all apologies” was her response to his harsh actions. But who knows! What we DO know is she’s still hanging with Justin Bieber. The two of them went to church together last night, arriving and leaving separately, but still…

all apologies

Jay-Z talked to “T: The New York Times Style Magazine” and admitted to cheating on Beyonce. Rather than divorce, the couple went through counseling and used their music to save their marriage. Jay-Z said, “You know, most people walk away, and like divorce rate is like 50 percent or something ’cause most people can’t see themselves. The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone’s face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself. So, you know, most people don’t want to do that. You don’t want to look inside yourself. And so you walk away.” But today, things appear to be going great. An insider told People, “It is not a secret that Beyoncé and Jay had huge problems a couple of years ago…There was always tension in the air, but they both worked very hard to get to the place where they are now…They are very excited about adding babies to the family. Jay was great during Beyoncé’s pregnancy and continues to be great. He loves being a dad and Beyoncé seems very happy.”

Yesterday Savannah Guthrie had the grim task of reporting Matt Lauer had been fired for sexual misconduct in the workplace, and today she had to read his apology statement. Matt says that even though some of what’s being reported is “untrue or mischaracterized, there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed.” He says he’s sorry for the pain he’s caused others and the disappointment he’s caused in his own home and at NBC. He says his full time job now is to repair the damage. Page Six says when Matt got the news that he was out, he jumped in his car and drove out to his son’s prep school in the Hamptons. An insider said he didn’t want 16-year-old Jack to hear the news before he could explain what was happening, and he wanted to do that in person. Matt also has a 14-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son with his wife of 19 years, Annette Roque. Back in 2006, Annette filed for divorce from Matt, claiming she suffered “cruel and inhumane” treatment from her husband, who was controlling and demonstrated “extreme anger and hostility.” She withdrew the divorce filing one month later.
