Liam Payne “Calls” Harry Styles Over FaceTime In New TikTok

Beavis and Butt-Head’ reboot… Vanilla Ice will perform for thousands in Texas… Chromatica Ball is moving to Summer 2021… Friends reunion special will likely start before the end of summer… and Something is happening with One Direction

Mike Judge said, “It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again.” Comedy Central has ordered two seasons of “Beavis and Butt-head,” and Mike Judge is back to write, produce and do both voices, just like he did when the show debuted on MTV in 1992. Part of the bit is these guys sitting on the couch watching and commenting on music videos, and Billboard.com has a poll asking whose videos Beavis and Butt-Head should review in the new season. The choices they give us are BTS, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Ariana Grande, Blackpink, Beyoncé, Harry Styles, and Lady Gaga.

Vanilla Ice is getting blasted for throwing his “Independence Day Throwback Beach Party” tomorrow night at a venue on Lake Travis, just outside of Austin. He promoted it on his Instagram page, saying, “I can’t wait to get back to this. The 90s were the best. We didn’t have coronavirus, or cell phones, or computers. we had 5.0’s, blockbuster, Beavis and Butthead, Wayne’s world, Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. And Mortal Kombat is still better than fortnight but we got out of the house, We danced, we invented house parties in the 90s. The last of the great decades. #IMissThenineties.” The venue is selling up to 2500 tickets priced between $25-$300.

Jay-Z has canceled his annual “Made in America” festival, which was supposed to take place over Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia. This is the first time the festival’s been canceled since Jay-Z started it in 2012. They’ll just pick back up in 2021 and honor any tickets bought for 2020. And Lady Gaga’s is moving her Chromatica Ball stadium tour to the summer of 2021.

The “Friends” reunion we were promised when HBO Max debuted in May didn’t happen. But if things go according to the current plan, filming will take place next month on the same stage where the show was filmed — Stage 24 of the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank. All six cast members and the show’s co-creators, Marta Kauffman and David Crane, are expected to be there. The original plan was to film the reunion in front of a studio audience. No word on if that has changed. HBO Max is currently running all 236 episodes of “Friends.”

Three weeks from today — July 23, 2020 — is One Direction’s 10th anniversary. Yes, it was 10 years ago when five young lads dreaming of solo stardom competed on “The X Factor” only to be put together as a group. The rest is history. One Direction has been “on hiatus” since 2016, and anticipation is building that they will finally reunite to mark the day the boy band was born. Just a few days ago, Harry Styles was seen walking around London with Ben Winston. He produced and directed a bunch of 1D projects and music videos, and he’s now an executive producer on James Corden’s “The Late Late Show.” We all know how close James is to the guys in 1D, so if there is a reunion, it’s assumed he’ll be involved. And then yesterday, Liam Payne posted a TikTok video that got Directioners all giddy. It starts with him FaceTiming a contact listed as “H.” Harry answers, but it’s just a video loop of him giggling. After Liam tries to make conversation, he says, “All right, it’s getting weird now” and hangs up. Oh, something is definitely up…
