Liam Payne to Be a Dad?

Emmys TV ratings… Mariah Carey in Vegas… Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie breakup… Jim Carrey fighs against lawsuit… and Liam Payne to be a Dad?

No matter how fabulous Jimmy Kimmel was hosting the Emmys Sunday night, we want our football and unsolved murders, dang it! Only 11.3 million of us tuned into the Emmys — a new all-time low. NBC was first in the ratings, thanks to “Football Night in America.” CBS came in second thanks to an NFL game that ran late, followed by “60 Minutes” and then the JonBenet Ramsey special, which concluded the brother did it, by the way. ABC wound up in third.

If you want to see Mariah Carey in Vegas, you don’t have many more chances left. She just announced her final nine shows at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace. They’ll run April 26-May 13, and tickets will go on sale later this month. Tickets range from $55 to $250. During the show, Mariah performs her 18 number one singles in chronological order!

Tune into the 8-part “Mariah’s World” docuseries premiering Dec 4th.

Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie are done. Sources say it was never that serious in the first place and things just fizzled out naturally. Still, things were serious enough for a hot minute for Justin to delete his Instagram over the Sofia backlash. Or maybe that actually had more to do with his back-and-forth with Selena Gomez. He still hasn’t signed back on.

Jim Carrey is fighting back against the wrongful death lawsuit filed against him by his late girlfriend’s estranged husband. Last year, Cathriona White took an overdose a week after she and Jim broke up. And now Mark Burton — who was still legally married to Cathriona at the time of her death — is suing Jim, saying he used his “immense wealth and celebrity status” to illegally obtain the drugs that killed his wife. But Jim won’t stand for this. He released a statement saying, “What a terrible shame. It would be easy for me to get in a back room with this man’s lawyer and make this go away, but there are some moments in life when you have to stand up and defend your honor against the evil in this world. I will not tolerate this heartless attempt to exploit me or the woman I loved. Cat’s troubles were born long before I met her and sadly her tragic end was beyond anyone’s control. I really hope that some day soon people will stop trying to profit from this and let her rest in peace.”

Cheryl Tweedy Cole Fernandez-Versini — or just plain Cheryl, as she’d like to be called now — was a judge on the British version of “The X Factor” when a little teenage boy named Liam Payne got up on that stage, sang his little heart out, and went on to become part of one of the biggest boy bands in history. Fast forward six years and not only are Liam and Cheryl crazy mad in love with each other, there’s speculation that she may be expecting his baby! Liam changed his Twitter bio to read “the luckiest man in the world.” That OBVIOUSLY means she’s pregnant. Or at least engaged, right? For those keeping track, he’s 23 and she’s 33.
