Katy Perry, Lorde, Robin Thicke and Chicago will perform at the Grammys… Emily Maynard announces the engagement… Honey Boo Boo and family were involved in a car crash… Ke$ha may be battling alcohol abuse in rehab… and Lindsay Lohan’s computer was stolen
The Grammy Awards are coming up on January 26 with LL Cool J hosting for the third year in a row. Yesterday the lineup of performers was announced. Nominees Taylor Swift, T.I., Macklemore and Lewis were already expected to perform. But now we know that Pink will be singing song of the year nominee “Just Give Me a Reason” with Nate Ruess from FUN. Katy Perry is also performing, as well as Lorde, who’s up for four Grammys. Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers and Stevie Wonder will join Daft Punk to perform “Get Lucky,” which is up for two awards. Kendrick Lamar is performing with Imagine Dragons…Robin Thicke will perform with Chicago…and for the first time in 23 years, Metallica is taking the Grammy stage. They’re performing with Chinese concert pianist Lang Lang.
Emily Maynard tried her luck finding love on reality TV twice and failed. First, Bachelor Brad Womack picked her to be his bride and that fell apart. But she was so popular that ABC brought her back as the Bachelorette. She picked hipster Jef Holm, but that fizzled out pretty quickly, too, especially after she was accused of sexting Matt Leinart. But right after she broke up with Jef, Emily started dating management consultant Tyler Johnson. And on Saturday, Tyler popped the question with five diamond-studded bands. Emily told “Us Weekly” that she’s had enough engagement rings, so this was great with her.
Honey Boo Boo’s family was involved in a pretty serious car accident Monday night. There are a lot of bumps, bruises and sprains, but everyone is expected to recover. Sugar Bear was driving the family in their 2012 Suburban when a 19-year-old boy allegedly driving without his lights on crashed into them at high speed. Mama June suffered whiplash plus a sprained back and neck. Sugar Bear also sprained his back and Honey Boo Boo hit her head on the glass. Mama June told People magazine, “Pumpkin went into a full panic attack and has severe bruising on her chest from the seat belt.” She added that this was the first wreck they’d ever had, but everyone was doing all right. And she told TMZ, “We’ve only had that Suburban for 6 months and it’s not even paid off yet.”
Ke$ha may be battling more than just an eating disorder. Sources told RadarOnline.com that she’s also been abusing alcohol. Apparently, Ke$ha was secretly dating her “C’mon” music video director Darren Craig for more than a year and then they broke up over the summer. Sources say she’s been in a downward spiral ever since, and ultimately ended up in a 30-day program to be treated for her issues. RadarOnline.com says those issues don’t just include the eating disorder, but also the alcohol, anxiety attacks and mood swings.
Lindsay Lohan was in China for a couple of appearances and on her way back to the States, her laptop was stolen at the airport in Shanghai. She tweeted, “It was great to be in China and I want to thank everyone for their hospitality, however someone has stolen my computer at the airport…offering a reward for anyone who can retrieve and rtn it, bummer to go home w/o it. xo L” She has since deleted the tweets. TMZ is reporting that she’s freaked out because there are a bunch of nude photos of her on there — photos reportedly taken at different photo shoots that were never supposed to be released. But she’s also upset because there reportedly was some “private correspondence” between Lindsay and several famous people, including Woody Allen and Lady Gaga.
