DWTS spoiler… Joker gets beat… Terminator is fresh… GOT creators back out… and Lizzo celebrates being an answer on ‘Jeopardy!’

SPOILER ALERT: Did we jinx Karamo Brown? Once again on “Dancing With the Stars,” two of the better dancers wound up in the bottom two — Karamo Brown and Kate Flannery. Because the judges get the final say now, Len Goodman had to cast the deciding vote, and he decided to keep Kate.

Remember how I told you that “Joker” reclaimed the top spot at the box office this past weekend? Scratch that. Those were based on preliminary figures. Now that the final numbers are in, “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” managed to hold on to first place for a second week, barely beating “Joker” by $120K! But next weekend, neither of these movies stand a chance of getting back to number one because “Terminator: Dark Fate” is opening with box office expectations set around $40 million.

Speaking of “Terminator,” last night’s red carpet premiere was canceled due to the massive Getty fire, that is still burning out of control. Paramount announced they’ll be donating all the food intended for the after-party to the American Red Cross, which is serving those affected by the fires. At least 10K people have fled the fires that are destroying the hills of LA, and around 2.2M people are without power. Among the celebrities forced to flee in the middle of the night are the Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, LeBron James, and Josh Duhamel.

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are the screenwriters who turned the “Game of Thrones” novels into a hit HBO series. They signed on to write the next “Star Wars” trilogy, with the first film due out in 2022. But after realizing they’d bitten off more than they can chew, David and D.B. are walking away. They released a statement saying, “There are only so many hours in the day, and we felt we could not do justice to both Star Wars and our Netflix projects.” Back in August, they reported signed a nine-figure deal with Netflix.

Do you remember that short-lived competition show called “The Glee Project”? Did you know that Lizzo auditioned for that and got rejected? The only reason I know this is because Kevin McHale — who played Artie on “Glee” is now a contestant on the UK’s “X Factor: Celebrity.” He performed Lizzo’s song “Good As Hell” and later tweeted he chose it “because it’s an incredible song and she’s an icon and it’s (BLANKED) up she auditioned for the Glee Project and didn’t make it cuz….7 weeks at #1.” Dang right, Kevin! But Lizzo obviously got over it and she’s celebrated several career successes. In fact, she seems to be most excited about her most recent honor of being the question on “Jeopardy!” For $600, the answer was, “In 2019, this 5-letter rap & R&B artist had the ‘Juice’ to be nominated for best new artist at the VMAs.” She celebrated on Instagram, “B—— B—— THIS AINT A DRILL. IM A @jeopardy QUESTION MAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I MADE IT I LOVE YOU ALEX TREBEK.”
