Judah Smith’s star studded prayer meetings… Dave Mirra died… Prince Harry’s new sweetheart… Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom update… and Mark Cuban is hosting an epic Super Bowl bash!
He is the Pastor to the Stars! Judah Smith pastors a megachurch in Seattle but flies to LA every week to hold Wednesday night prayer meetings for standing-room-only crowds. Celebrities have started popping up at those services, including Justin Bieber, Russell Wilson, Ciara and Ashley Benson. And now, Rev. Judah is ready to take his ministry to the next level. He’s signed on with Management 360 to develop faith-based projects for millennials.
If you’re an extreme sports fan, then you probably heard the news about BMX legend Dave Mirra. He died yesterday from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He had been back home in Greenville, NC, visiting friends. Before he killed himself, Dave posted two Instagram photos — one of him and his wife, which he captioned, “My rock! Thank god,” and the other of him riding his bike in high school. Motocross star Carey Hart tweeted, “I’m in complete shock. Angry, heart broken and just sad at the passing of my friend Dave. Heart broken 4 his daughters and wife.”
Prince Harry has found himself a cute little American sweetheart. She is 22-year-old aspiring actress Juliette Labelle. Harry was in LA right before the New Year and they were introduced by a mutual friend. A source told Entertainment Tonight that the two of them have been texting with a lot of emojis every since.
Things seem to be going smoothly so far for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. This past Saturday, they went to a birthday party at a private home in LA together, and Wednesday night they were at another birthday party for a producer friend at the Sunset Tower Hotel. One source said they had that “new relationship glow about them.” Katy and Orlando have been quietly seeing each other since last month’s Golden Globes.
Mark Cuban LOVES to throw the biggest and most expensive Super Bowl party. He started in 2011 with Usher headlining. Since then he’s had Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Jay Z and Beyonce, Rihanna and Kanye, and this year — it’s the Red Hot Chili Peppers! This year’s party will take place at San Francisco’s Pier 70. It’s free, but invation-only.
