The DWTS cast… Vanderpump Rules drama… Taylor Swift pop-up… Matrix 4 is official… and Marvel Studios & Sony end SpiderMan deal

The new cast of the upcoming Dancing With the Stars was announced this morning. The rumor about Abby Lee Miller from Dance Moms being part of the show turned out to be untrue, but the rumors about Bachelorette Hannah Brown, Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown, and supermodel Christie Brinkley were spot on. Joining them are James Van Der Beek, who has actually done other stuff since Dawson’s Creek but nobody ever brings it up; former American Idol contestant and country music star Lauren Alaina; former Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis fills the pro-athlete spot; Mary Wilson of The Supremes, who is the oldest dancer at 75; Kate Flannery, who played Meredith Palmer on The Office; former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, Kel Mitchell from Nickelodeon’s All That, friend of the show Ally Brooke and…………….Lamar Odom!

Publicity stunt or real beef? It’s up to you to decide. They’re currently filming Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules, and Jax Taylor has unfollowed co-stars Kristen Doute, Scheana Shay, Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval on social media, and except for Scheana, they’ve all unfollowed him. Who unfollowed whom first? I’m not sure. Nobody’s saying anything because they have to save it for the show. But this happened just weeks after all four of them were in Jax and Brittany’s wedding. Tom was Jax’s co-best man and the women were bridesmaids. Brittany is still following all of them and they’re following her, but will that change? Will she be forced to choose?

Taylor Swift collaborated with Stella McCartney to create a clothing line that ties in with her new Lover album, which comes out Friday. Rush to NYC by Friday because a pop-up store will open up that day and run through Sunday. There will be lots of hats and tees and hoodies and totes covered in cotton candy clouds, hearts with wings, cats and lyrics to fight for. Two of the line’s luxury items will be available in Stella’s NY and London stores for a limited time — a $795 handbag and a $1995 bomber jacket. To see the #StellaxTaylorSwift collection, check out the look book on Taylor’s website.

The Matrix 4 is happening! And it’s happening with Keanu Reeves!! Otherwise, why bother? But Keanu IS back as Neo along with Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity. The original movie came out in 1999 and two sequels — The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions — were both released six months apart in 2003. Collectively, those movies earned over $1.6 billion. We have no idea what the story will be about, but Variety brought up the role of Morpheus, which was played by the extremely serious Lawrence Fishburne. According to Variety’s sources, the role may be recast for a younger take. So no word yet on whether Lawrence, Monica Belluci or Jada Pinkett Smith will be involved in the next installment.

Everyone on Twitter is trying to out-clever each other with their memes and #SaveSpidey and #SaveSpiderMan have dominated everyone’s feeds. Sony and Disney have decided to end their deal to co-produce the new Tom Holland Spider-Man movie franchise. Apparently Disney’s current deal with Sony gives them 5 percent of first-dollar gross. Moving forward, Disney wants a 50-50 split. Sony owns the rights to Spider-Man and they said no and things didn’t progress from there. Sony released a statement saying this is all Disney’s fault, but they promise to continue the Spider-Man franchise, even though it will be no longer be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
