For those of you still hoping that Tyra Banks will come to her senses and beg Tom Bergeron to come back and host “Dancing With the Stars,” it’s time to let that go. Tom got a new gig he’s super excited about. Tom just announced he’s filmed the pilot and they’re just waiting for the green light from NBC, but he is hosting a reboot of that classic game show, “Tic-Tac-Dough!” This show has basically been around forever. It was first hosted by Jack Barry in the 1950s. They brought it back in the 1970s with Wink Martindale. And then then they brought it back again in 1990 with Patrick Wayne, but you probably remember nothing about it because it was canceled after a few months. But Tom Bergeron got this! He’s already familiar with the whole Tic-Tac-Toe idea because he from 1998-2004 he hosted “Hollywood Squares.”

Harry Potter fans were very upset to see pictures of Tom Felton all over the internet yesterday. Tom played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies and he was invited to play in a celebrity golf match in Wisconsin. During the tournament, Tom collapsed to the ground! Thankfully, medical personal were nearby to help him on to a cart and he was conscious when they drove him away. We don’t know what caused him to collapse and if he wants to tell us, I guess he will. Tom’s collapse happened the day after his 34th birthday, which was Wednesday.

Nothing united us during those early days of the pandemic like “Tiger King.” And now Netflix has announced they’re going to give it another go with “Tiger King 2.” We don’t have a release date, but expect it before the end of the year. It’s not exactly clear what the focus of the new season will be, but the filmmakers did speak with Joe Exotic a number of times from behind bars. And just in case anybody was wondering, Carole Baskin will NOT be in the new season. In fact, she’s disgusted they’re even doing it. She said, “I’m refusing to be played again. (The director) said she wanted to ‘clear the air’ about what they did to me in ‘Tiger King.’ I told her to lose my number. There is no explanation for such a betrayal and false portrayal.”

Debra Messing couldn’t understand why Kim Kardashian would be asked to host SNL because it’s usually a spot reserved for people having to promote a new movie or music, well, DUH, Debra. Kim just posted yesterday that it was Day 1 of filming the new version of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” for Hulu. We don’t know the name of the new series and we don’t have a debut date, but it’s supposedly coming out later this year so they’d better hustle. Meantime, TMZ is reporting that in the next batch of singers introduced to us on “The Masked Singer,” one of them will be someone who is “in and around the Kardashian empire.”

Matthew McConaughey was a guest on the “Set It Straight: Myths and Legends” podcast and — like he’s been asked multiple times now — the hosts asked if he was going to run for governor of Texas in 2022. Matthew said, “I’m measuring it…I’m more a folk singing-philosopher-poet statesman than I am a, per se, definitive politician. So I go: Well, that’s a reason not to. But then I go: No, that’s exactly why you should — because politics needs redefinition. But I’m measuring: What is my category? What’s my embassy?” By the way, the “Dallas Morning News” and the University of Texas at Tyler released poll numbers this week showing Matthew is leading current Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, 44% to 35%.
