“Top Gun: Maverick” will have some competition next weekend when “Jurassic World Dominion” opens. But for now, nobody can touch Tom Cruise. “Top Gun: Maverick” is number one again, taking in another $86M in North American theaters, pushing it up to $291M in just two weeks. This is now Tom’s highest-grossing movie EVER domestically, passing his previous top-earner “War of the Worlds” with $243M. Coming in second this weekend was “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” with $9.3M. After five weeks, that movie has taken in $388.7M here in the US. Third place belongs to “The Bob’s Burgers Movie” with $4.5M. “The Bad Guys” is fourth with $3.3M, and “Downton Abbey: A New Era” rounded out the top five with a cool $3M.

Noah Schnapp plays Will Byers on “Stranger Things” and every fan knows that Will has had a really tough time throughout the series. But now, it’s gotten even sadder. Everyone forgot Will’s birthday, including the creators, The Duffer Brother, Matt and Ross! In Season 2, Will’s mom Joyce — played by Winona Ryder — reminds a possessed Will that his birthday is March 22nd. Then in Season 4, during Eleven’s bullying roller rink scene, the date in the corner of the video recorder shows March 22nd. Coincidence? Unfortunately YES. Fans speculated that it was a plot point that the other characters forgot Will’s birthday. But it turns out the Duffer Brothers forgot it, too, so it was just a continuity error. Matt Duffer said, “You know how George R.R. Martin has somebody and Stephen King has someone who just keeps track of this stuff? We need that.” Fan reaction has been so intense that Matt said they might even go back and edit the Season 2 scene to have Winona say “May 22nd” instead of March 22nd.
The Duffer brothers on forgetting Will’s birthday in #StrangerThings: “The debate now is whether we adjust Will’s birthday or we just let it be really sad… It was obviously a mistake, and we’re sorry. We apologize to the fans.” https://t.co/rJn4MeyliH

After a year and a half together, Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey have broken up. A source close to the couple told People magazine that they’re “both completely heartbroken” over the breakup and that they still love each other. Reps for Michael and Lori haven’t commented. Michael and Lori celebrated their one-year anniversary in November, but waited until the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March to make their red carpet debut. But in May, Lori went to the Cannes Film Festival solo, and rumors that their relationship was in trouble began to swirl after she returned home to the US. Lori has scrubbed Michael from her IG. He still has Lori on his.
