Is Kim distancing herself from the Kardashian clan?…Who did Lady Gaga call “a disgusting human being?”…and Miley Cyrus’ subtle move that’s speaking volumes about her relationship with Liam Hemsworth.
People obviously wanted to be scared this weekend. “Insidious: Chapter 2” debuted in first place with $41 million. That’s more than three times the original movie made during its opening weekend in 2010. “The Family” opened in second with $14.5 million. Last week’s number one movie, “Riddick,” slipped to third with $7 million.
Page Six is reporting that Kim Kardashian has hired a new publicist who can hopefully help Kim distance herself from her family’s drama. Jill Fritzo has represented the entire Kardashian family for years, but now Kim is using Ina Treciokas, whose other clients include Woody Harrelson, Owen Wilson, Liev Schreiber and Justin Theroux. A source told Page Six that Kim wants to set herself apart from the Kardashian PR machine, and that Kanye West advised her to build her own team. Fritzo is probably just thrilled to have one less Kardashian to worry about….
A couple of weddings over the weekend. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen were married in Lako Como, Italy, on Saturday in front of 125 guests, including Kanye West, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder and Brooklyn Decker. Chrissy wore two gowns — a strapless ivory Vera Wang for the ceremony and another Vera Wang creation for the reception. At the reception, John got behind the piano and sang “All of Me” to his new bride — a song he wrote especially for her. And Kanye walked Stevie to the piano to perform “Ribbon in the Sky.” Also on Saturday, LeBron James married his high school sweetheart and baby mama, Savannah Brinson. The couple said their vows at the Grand Del Mar in San Diego in front of guests including Carmelo and LaLa Anthony, Dwayne Wade and his girlfriend, Gabrielle Union, and Jay-Z and Beyonce, who actually got up and sang “Crazy in Love” for the newlyweds at their reception.
Lady Gaga is being sued by her former BFF/personal assistant for unpaid overtime. Jennifer O’Neill claims she’s owed about $393K in overtime, based on her $75K annual salary. But Gaga responded in a 200-page sworn statement that Jennifer knew her job required her to be on call 24/7. She said: “This is it: When I need you, I need you.” And besides, Gaga said Jennifer enjoyed a lot of perks, like partying with Gaga and all her celebrity friends. Gaga called Jennifer a “disgusting human being,” adding, “She thinks she’s just like the Queen of the Universe. And, you know what? She didn’t want to be a slave to one, because in my work and what I do, I’m the Queen of the Universe every day.” And what Little Monster won’t agree with that? The case is set to begin November 4 in NYC.
It was a simple, subtle move that spoke volumes. Miley Cyrus unfollowed Liam Hemsworth on Twitter Saturday!!! This. Is. Huge. Liam and Miley haven’t been seen together since the August premiere of his movie, “Paranoia.” And Liam reportedly wasn’t too happy about Miley’s VMA twerk-fest, while Miley reportedly isn’t happy with rumors about Liam hooking up with some mystery brunette at a party a couple weekends ago. Plus, Liam reportedly is texting January Jones again.
