Weekend box office news… PETA is mad at Jennifer Lopez… Posty Fest lineup… Britney Spears update… and Miley Cyrus & Kaitlynn Carter reportedly move in together
It was no surprise that “It: Chapter Two” was number one at the box office this weekend with $91 million. It was nowhere near the $123 million debut of the original “It” back in 2017, which was the biggest opening ever for a horror movie. But with $91 million, the sequel is now the second-best opening ever for a horror movie. Critics don’t love it quite as much as the original, either. Rotten Tomatoes gave the first one 87 percent while the sequel has 64 percent. The audience loves it, though. As across the board. Coming in way behind in second place was “Angel Has Fallen” with $6 million. Third place went to “Good Boys” with $5.4 million.

Who doesn’t love Jennifer Lopez? PETA. They were yelling at her and waving signs in her face as she walked the red carpet for the “Hustlers” premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival Saturday night. She obviously heard them…there was no way not to. But JLo is always a pro for the cameras and kept posing her way down the red carpet. Inside, somebody caught a scary moment when Jennifer was waving to fans from the balcony and lost her balance. It looked pretty scary there for a minute! But Jennifer is waking up to positive reviews! Rotten Tomatoes critics are giving it 95 percent so far!

Post Malone has announced the lineup for his Second Annual Posty Fest which his happening Nov. 2 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Not only is he performing, but so are his good friends Meek Mill, Pharrell Williams, Rae Sremmurd, Jaden Smith and a whole bunch more. Post promises “music, games, food, prizes, free stuff, *not* free stuff, exclusive collabs, giant things, jousting, limited merch, guitar smashing and so much more.” What’s up with the jousting? Last night, Post was a guest on a special edition of Jimmy Fallon, and they went to Medieval Times. Apparently, that’s his thing! He even got knighted, which now makes him a Lord. Posty Fest tickets go on sale tomorrow if you have a Citicard. The rest of us have to wait until Saturday, which is when Post Malone kicks off his Ruaway Tour in Tacoma, Washington.

Last week, Kevin Federline accused his former father-in-law Jamie Spears of child abuse after he allegedly broke down a door to get to his 13-year-old grandson, Sean Preston. Now, both of Kevin and Britney’s sons have restraining orders agains their grandfather. Meantime, Jamie is going to ask a judge this week to “temporarily relinquish” his powers of conservatorship over Britney. Not only is he stressed about the situation with his grandsons, he’s also dealing with health issues. He would like to see Jodi Montgomery appointed as temporary conservator. Jamie says Jodi has served as Britney’s “care manager” for the past year. Sources say Britney’s mom Lynne and her attorney will be at the hearing and may request that Lynne be named temporary conservator.

Even though they haven’t confirmed it with their words, they’ve confirmed it with their lips! Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter are a full-on couple. They’re basically inseparable. And since they can’t stand to be apart, Hollywood Life is reporting that Miley and Kaitlynn have now moved in together. They’re reportedly sharing a place in Hidden Hills, which is right next to Calabasas, otherwise known as Kardashianville.
